About

CloudCompare computes storage-plan sizing, entirely local with no upstream calls. storage_plan takes a file inventory (counts and average sizes for photos/videos/documents, plus other storage) and returns the real total in GB with a percentage breakdown, and — given a monthly growth rate and a time horizon — a real compound-growth projection (projected = current * (1 + rate) ** months) with milestones along the way. estimate_media_size gives a rough per-item size for a photo (megapixels x format) or a video (resolution/quality x duration, the real bitrate x duration / 8 formula), clearly labeled as an estimate. file_organization_reference covers folder-structure approaches (by date, by project/person, by type, hybrid) with real pros and cons, plus deduplication concepts. This connector deliberately never names, recommends, or compares any specific commercial storage service. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

What CloudCompare is for

The storage-planning math behind "how much space do I actually need" and "how should I organize it" — without recommending or comparing any specific storage service, whose features and pricing change too often to bake into a reference like this responsibly. This is pure storage math: give it your file counts and sizes, and get real numbers back.

What it does

Inventory & growth — storage_plan takes your file inventory (counts and average sizes for photos, videos, documents, plus any other storage) and computes the real total in GB with a percentage breakdown by category. Add a monthly growth rate and a time horizon to get a real compound-growth projection — projected = current * (1 + rate) ** months — with milestones along the way. Media size estimate — estimate_media_size gives a rough per-item size for a photo (megapixels x format) or a video (resolution and quality x duration, using the real bitrate x duration / 8 formula), clearly labeled as an estimate from typical assumptions. Organization — file_organization_reference covers folder-structure approaches (by date, by project/person, by type, a hybrid) with real pros and cons, plus deduplication concepts (exact hash, perceptual hash, filename heuristics).

What it is not

CloudCompare does not name, recommend, or compare any specific commercial storage service — it computes storage math from numbers you provide, and stops there. It doesn't read, upload, or manage any of your actual files. Bitrate and compression-ratio assumptions are hand-curated approximations of typical real-world encoding choices, not a measurement of a specific camera or app's output.

Privacy policy

CloudCompare — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What CloudCompare is. CloudCompare is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for storage-planning math — a file-inventory storage calculator with growth projection, a photo/video size estimator, and an organization reference. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — file counts and average sizes by category, a growth rate and time horizon, megapixels/resolution/duration for a size estimate, or an organization strategy name — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every tool is arithmetic on the numbers you provide, run against hand-curated reference tables bundled with the server; no request is forwarded to any third party. CloudCompare never receives your actual files, their names, or any storage-account credentials — only the counts, sizes, and settings you describe.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. CloudCompare is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

CloudCompare — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the CloudCompare connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. CloudCompare returns storage-planning math — an inventory-based storage total with growth projection, a photo/video size estimate, and a file-organization reference — computed from real formulas and hand-curated reference tables bundled with the server. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Brand-neutral by design. The Service does not name, endorse, or compare any specific commercial storage provider, and is not sponsored by or affiliated with one. It computes storage math from the numbers you give it.
  3. Estimates, not guarantees. Growth projections assume a constant monthly rate you supply, which real usage rarely follows exactly. Media size estimates use hand-curated typical bitrate and compression-ratio assumptions; your actual file sizes depend on the specific device, app, and settings used to create them.
  4. No file access. CloudCompare does not read, upload, or manage any of your actual files or storage accounts; it only performs arithmetic on the numbers you describe.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service, including any storage-purchasing decision made from an estimate here. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
