Brand-neutral EV-vs-gas total cost of ownership and break-even mileage calculators

Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
ev_gas_tco_calculatorev_gas_breakeven_mileageEVCompare is a fully local, brand-neutral EV-vs-gas cost calculator toolkit — estimates only, never a purchase recommendation, and it never names or looks up a specific vehicle make or model. ev_gas_tco_calculator takes an EV's price, efficiency (kWh/100mi), and electricity rate, plus a gas car's price, MPG, and gas price, an annual mileage, and a number of years, and computes each vehicle's total cost of ownership (purchase price + fuel/energy cost + maintenance cost, using a documented, overridable maintenance-cost-per-mile assumption reflecting that EVs commonly cost meaningfully less to maintain), reporting which is cheaper overall and by how much. ev_gas_breakeven_mileage takes the same purchase-price and per-mile cost inputs and computes the exact mileage at which a price difference between the two vehicles is offset by a running-cost difference, correctly handling every direction: one vehicle ahead immediately, a genuine crossover mileage in either direction, or never catching up. Every response carries a disclaimer field. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Computed locally / hand-curated, using published general maintenance-cost-difference assumptions (e.g. Consumer Reports / U.S. Department of Energy EV ownership-cost analyses); fully local, zero upstream calls
The publisher, Unify Dynamics LLC, states that tool inputs are processed in memory and not retained.

EVCompare is a brand-neutral EV-vs-gas cost calculator for learning and general planning. It is never a
purchase recommendation, a financing offer, or a guarantee of any specific vehicle's real-world cost. It
takes the vehicle specs and prices you supply — it never names, looks up, or recommends a specific vehicle
make or model. Every tool response carries a disclaimer field restating this.
The math that comes up when comparing an EV you're considering against a gas car you're considering — which one actually costs less to own over time, and at what mileage a pricier EV's purchase price gets paid back by its lower running cost — answered with real, transparent computation from the numbers you give it, with no upstream calls and nothing about the user stored.
ev_gas_tco_calculator takes an EV's price, efficiency (kWh/100mi), and electricity rate, plus a gas car's
price, MPG, and gas price, an annual mileage, and a number of years, and computes each vehicle's total cost of
ownership — purchase price plus fuel/energy cost plus maintenance cost — using a documented, overridable
maintenance-cost-per-mile assumption (EVs commonly cost meaningfully less to maintain). It reports which
vehicle is cheaper overall and by how much. ev_gas_breakeven_mileage takes the same purchase prices and
per-mile cost inputs and computes the exact mileage at which a price difference between the two vehicles is
offset by a running-cost difference — handling every direction: the EV ahead immediately, the EV catching up
over distance, or never catching up.
Not a vehicle recommendation engine and not a financing calculator. It does not know insurance costs, depreciation/resale value, registration fees, home-charger installation cost, or tax credits/rebates unless you fold them into the purchase price yourself. Both tools do genuine arithmetic from the numbers you give them, but the real-world numbers for any two specific vehicles vary — check manufacturer specs and current local fuel/electricity prices before making a purchase decision.

What EVCompare is. EVCompare is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a brand-neutral EV-vs-gas total-cost-of-ownership and break-even-mileage calculator. EVCompare is estimates only and is never a purchase recommendation. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the vehicle specs and prices needed for that one calculation — never a vehicle make, model, or identifying information.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — for example a purchase price, an efficiency (kWh/100mi or MPG), an electricity or gas price, an annual mileage, or a number of years — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered locally and nothing is stored. EVCompare makes zero upstream/network calls: every response is arithmetic computed directly from the arguments given plus a small set of documented, overridable general assumptions. No request is forwarded to any third party, and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, or any specific vehicle make/model/VIN — the tools work from generic specs only. We do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every calculation runs locally on our server with no external dependency. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. EVCompare is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
