early_payment_discount_calculatorpayment_terms_glossarydiscount_notation_decoderlate_payment_fee_calculatorpayment_terms_comparisonmilestone_billing_schedule_templatepayment_terms_glossaryInvoiceterm puts invoice payment-terms literacy behind one connector, computed locally from the numbers you supply. payment_terms_glossary defines Net 30/60/90, 2/10 Net 30, Due on receipt, COD, milestone billing, EOM terms, late payment fees, retainage, and invoice aging. early_payment_discount_calculator takes a discount notation and an invoice amount and computes the dollar discount plus the annualized cost of not taking the discount, using the standard finance formula [discount%/(100%-discount%)] x [365/(net_days-discount_days)] x 100 — for 2/10 Net 30 this comes out to roughly 37% annualized. discount_notation_decoder parses a notation string like '2/10 Net 30' directly. late_payment_fee_calculator computes an accrued late fee as a daily-prorated annual rate or a flat monthly rate per month-or-fraction overdue. payment_terms_comparison compares the cash-flow impact of common terms, with an optional dollar opportunity-cost calculation. milestone_billing_schedule_template gives a deposit/midpoint/final billing split with dollar amounts. General information and arithmetic, not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.

"What does 2/10 net 30 mean, and is it actually worth taking?", "how much late fee do I owe on a $5,000 invoice 45 days overdue at 18% annual?", "how should I structure milestone billing?" — the payment-terms questions freelancers and small businesses hit on both sides of an invoice, answered with real arithmetic and a hand-curated glossary — no upstream calls, nothing stored.
payment_terms_glossary defines Net 30/60/90, 2/10 Net 30, Due on receipt, COD, milestone billing, EOM
terms, late payment fees, retainage, and invoice aging. early_payment_discount_calculator takes an
early-payment discount notation (percent, discount window, net window) and an invoice amount and computes
the dollar discount plus the annualized cost of NOT taking the discount, using the standard finance formula
[discount% / (100% - discount%)] x [365 / (net_days - discount_days)] x 100 — for 2/10 Net 30 this comes
out to roughly 37% annualized, far higher than the 2% headline number suggests, which is exactly why the
calculation is worth doing rather than eyeballing. discount_notation_decoder parses a notation string like
"2/10 Net 30" or "1/15, n/45" directly into its numbers. late_payment_fee_calculator computes an accrued
late fee either as a daily-prorated annual interest rate, or as a flat monthly rate per month-or-fraction
overdue (the common "1.5% per month or fraction thereof" clause). payment_terms_comparison compares the
cash-flow impact of Due on receipt and Net 15/30/60/90, with an optional dollar opportunity-cost calculation
for a given cost of capital. milestone_billing_schedule_template gives a deposit/midpoint/final billing
split (a common 30/40/30 default, or your own custom percentages) with dollar amounts for a given total.
General information and arithmetic, not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Invoiceterm does not know the actual contract or invoice between two real parties, does not know what late-fee caps or usury limits apply in a given jurisdiction, and does not verify that any term it explains is actually what a real invoice says — confirm the specific figures against the real agreement and, where a meaningful dollar amount is at stake, a professional.

What Invoiceterm is. Invoiceterm is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to explain invoice payment terms and compute related figures: early-payment- discount economics, late-payment fees, and milestone-billing splits. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers and terms needed for that one calculation or lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — typically an invoice amount, a discount or interest percentage, a number of days, or a payment-terms notation string — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Nothing you submit is stored or logged. Every calculation is computed fresh from the numbers you provide in that single request — Invoiceterm does not maintain an invoice history, a client list, or a running total. No query — including any amount, rate, or term you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, business or client names, payment credentials, bank or tax ID numbers, or any account information, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps, never the request content) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived, content-free logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Invoiceterm is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
