Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Hand-curated from widely used, platform-agnostic general streaming-community convention (encoder-project and cross-platform recommended-settings practice) plus real computed math (percentage-headroom bitrate/upload-speed calculations); fully local, zero upstream calls

"What bitrate should I stream at with 20 Mbps upload?", "why am I dropping frames?", "should I use CBR or VBR?" — a platform-agnostic livestreaming setup and troubleshooting reference that computes real numbers from your actual connection instead of repeating one platform's specific advice.
bitrate_recommendation is the connector's core computed tool: give your tested upload speed (and optionally a
safety-margin percentage, 30% by default) and it computes a safe total/video bitrate with real headroom below your
actual connection, then recommends the best achievable resolution/fps tier from a reference table.
resolution_fps_bitrate_table shows that full table — 480p30 through 1440p60 — plus audio bitrate/sample-rate
guidance, reflecting widely used, platform-agnostic streaming-community convention rather than any single
platform's specific current numbers. encoder_settings_guide covers x264 software encoding and NVENC/AMD/Quick
Sync hardware encoding: rate-control mode (CBR is recommended for live, unlike VBR for recorded video), keyframe
interval, preset tradeoffs, and B-frames.
troubleshoot keyword-matches a symptom — dropped frames, audio/video sync drift, encoder overload, high latency,
pixelation — to likely causes and concrete fixes, distinguishing encoding-side problems from network-side ones
where that matters. audio_sync_troubleshooting gives a deeper, dedicated breakdown of sync-drift causes
specifically (variable frame rate sources, USB/Bluetooth audio latency, stacked buffering delays).
network_requirements_calculator is the inverse computed calculation: give a target bitrate and it computes the
upload speed you actually need, with the same safety-margin logic. pre_stream_checklist assembles an ordered
pre-stream checklist for a solo, multi-guest, or mobile setup. audio_setup_tips covers gain staging, headphone
monitoring, feedback prevention, and noise gating — live-specific because there's no chance to fix a clipped or
feedback-marred recording after the fact. livestream_glossary defines bitrate, keyframe/GOP, CBR vs VBR,
transcoding, ingest, dropped frames, jitter, buffering, latency, and simulcasting.
Not tied to any specific streaming platform's current requirements — bitrate and encoder guidance here reflects widely used, platform-agnostic community convention, and you should still check your specific target platform's own current ingest spec. The bitrate and required-upload-speed numbers are genuine computed math from the values you provide, but they can't see your actual network's real-world stability (jitter, packet loss) — a connection that tests fast on a speed test can still struggle to sustain a live stream if it's unstable.

What Livestage is. Livestage is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, platform-agnostic livestreaming reference and computed bitrate/network calculators. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or computation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — an upload speed, a target bitrate, an encoder name, a described symptom, or a setup type — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from bundled, hand-curated reference data or computed locally, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise, and we never connect to or measure your actual network or streaming setup. No query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire reference is bundled with the server and every computation runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Livestage is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
