About

Memeformat is a fully local, hand-curated meme-template structure reference. format_info gives one format's full detail — structure, caption slots, typical line/character limits, when to use it, tone, and recommended aspect ratio; format_list shows all ten. format_finder suggests 1-3 formats for a described situation. recommended_aspect_ratio returns just the aspect-ratio guidance. caption_fit_check is genuine computed text checking: give a format and one caption per slot and it reports character count, word count, wrapped line count, and whether each caption fits that format's typical convention, with specific issues listed. line_break_suggester is a standalone word-wrap calculator for any caption and any max-characters-per-line. caption_style_tips covers typography/wording conventions. mocking_case_convert applies the classic 'aLtErNaTiNg CaPs' mocking-tone transform. meme_glossary defines macro, template, exploitable, caption slot and more. Formats are original structural descriptions, never a reproduction of a specific copyrighted image. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Hand-curated original structural descriptions of common meme-format conventions (never naming or reproducing a specific copyrighted meme image) plus real computed text logic (character/word/line counting, word-wrap); fully local, zero upstream calls

What Memeformat is for

"What meme formats do you have?", "does this caption actually fit a comparison-panel meme?", "how would this caption wrap at 20 characters per line?" — a structural meme reference plus real caption-checking computation, built without naming or reproducing any specific copyrighted meme image.

What it does

format_info gives one format's full detail — structure, panel count, caption slots, typical max lines/characters per line, when to use it, tone, and a recommended aspect ratio — across ten common, generically described formats: a classic top/bottom macro, a two-option comparison panel, a 3-5 rung escalation ladder, a label-swap exploitable, a single-caption reaction image, a three-figure temptation triangle, a before/after contrast, a screenshot-with-quote format, a speech-bubble dialogue edit, and a deadpan chart gag. format_list shows all ten at a glance, and format_finder suggests 1-3 formats for a plain-language situation like "comparing two options" or "showing an escalating scale". recommended_aspect_ratio returns just the aspect-ratio guidance for one format.

caption_fit_check is genuine computed text checking, not a lookup: give a format and one caption per slot, and it counts characters and words, word-wraps each caption the same way a real layout would, and reports whether it fits that format's typical line-count/character-per-line convention — with the specific issue named when it doesn't. line_break_suggester is the same word-wrap calculator standing alone, for any caption and any target line width. caption_style_tips covers typography and wording conventions (the classic outlined-caps macro style vs. plain sentence case, punchline placement, margins). mocking_case_convert applies the classic "aLtErNaTiNg CaPs" mocking-tone text transform. meme_glossary defines the vocabulary — macro, template, exploitable, caption slot, format fatigue, and more.

What it is not

Not a reproduction of any specific, real meme image or a lookup of copyrighted content — every format here is an original structural description (panel count, caption slots, tone), never a named reference to a particular famous photo or graphic. It's also not a pixel-perfect layout tool: the fit-check and line-break numbers are computed against typical, non-binding conventions for each format, and the real limit for any specific image always depends on the exact image, font, and text size you actually use.

Privacy policy

Memeformat — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Memeformat is. Memeformat is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated meme-format structure reference and computed caption-fit tools. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or computation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a format id, a described situation, or the caption text you want checked or line-broken — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from bundled, hand-curated reference data or computed locally, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no caption text or query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire reference is bundled with the server and every computation runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Memeformat is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Memeformat — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Memeformat connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Memeformat returns a hand-curated, fully local meme-format structure reference (ten formats described generically by panel count, caption slots and tone) plus computed caption tools — a fit checker, a word-wrap line-break suggester, and a text-case transformer. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Original descriptions, not copyrighted material. Every format in this reference is an original structural description created for this Service. The Service does not name, depict, or reproduce any specific real, copyrighted meme image, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the creator of any meme template or image.
  3. Guidance, not a guarantee of fit. Caption fit-check and line-break results are computed against typical, non-binding conventions for each described format. They do not know your actual chosen image, font, or text size, and are not a guarantee that a caption will visually fit any particular real image.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome. Don't use the Service to generate captions intended to harass, defame, or impersonate a real person.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from bundled reference data or computed locally, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service, including any content created using its guidance. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
