About

PayrollMath puts US employer-side payroll-tax arithmetic behind one connector, all computed locally from bundled, verified IRS/SSA/DOL figures — nothing fetched, nothing stored. Employer FICA match: the employer's own matching 6.2% Social Security (up to the annual wage base) and 1.45% Medicare (uncapped) contribution, year-to-date-aware so a paycheck crossing the wage base mid-check is prorated correctly; no employer match of the employee-only 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax. FUTA: the standard 6.0% rate on the first $7,000 of each employee's wages per year, reduced to the effective 0.6% rate by the standard 5.4% credit, or a higher rate under a flagged state credit reduction — also wage-base-aware. SUTA: an honest placeholder that never guesses a number, since State Unemployment Insurance is set by each state and by the employer's own experience rating. Combined summary: the FICA match and FUTA added into one per-paycheck employer-cost figure, with SUTA clearly flagged as excluded. A glossary covers FUTA, SUTA, wage base, experience rating, credit reduction state, Form 940/941, EFTPS, and labor burden rate. This connector computes what the EMPLOYER owes, not employee withholding — see the companion paycheckmath connector for that. General educational information, not tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Sources: Computed locally / hand-curated from bundled, dated IRS/SSA/DOL figures (employer FICA match rates under IRC §3111, FUTA standard rate/wage base/credit under 26 U.S.C. §3301-3302, Social Security wage base kept in sync with the paycheckmath connector); fully local, zero upstream calls. General educational information, not tax, legal, or accounting advice.

What PayrollMath is for

"What does an employer pay on top of a $60,000 salary", "employer FICA match on a $3,000 paycheck", "FUTA on a new employee's first paycheck", "what's the effective FUTA rate", "what's my labor burden rate" — the employer-cost questions a small-business owner asks that are a completely different calculation from what shows up on an employee's own pay stub. PayrollMath answers them with real arithmetic over published, dated IRS/SSA/DOL figures — no upstream calls, no accounts, nothing stored.

PayrollMath computes what the EMPLOYER owes, not what is withheld from the employee. For employee-side federal withholding and the employee's own FICA share, see the companion paycheckmath connector — the two are deliberately complementary, never overlapping.

What it does

Employer FICA match. The employer's own matching Social Security (6.2% up to the annual wage base — $176,100 in 2025, $184,500 in 2026) and Medicare (1.45%, uncapped) contribution, correctly prorated when a paycheck crosses the Social Security wage base mid-check given a year-to-date figure. There is no employer match of the employee-only 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax.

FUTA. The standard 6.0% federal unemployment tax rate on the first $7,000 of each employee's wages per year, reduced to the effective 0.6% rate by the standard 5.4% credit most employers receive for paying SUTA in full and on time — or a higher effective rate if you flag a state credit reduction and its percentage. Also wage-base-aware, so a paycheck crossing the (much lower) $7,000 FUTA ceiling mid-check is prorated correctly.

SUTA placeholder. State Unemployment Insurance is deliberately NOT computed — every state sets its own wage base and rate, and rates further depend on the employer's own experience rating. This tool explains why, gives general orientation, and points you to your state's actual rate notice rather than guessing a number.

Combined summary. employer_payroll_cost_summary adds the FICA match and FUTA into one per-paycheck employer-cost figure on top of gross pay, clearly flagging that SUTA is real employer cost too but is excluded because it cannot be computed generically.

Glossary. Employer FICA match, FUTA, SUTA, FUTA wage base, credit reduction state, experience rating, new employer rate, Form 941, Form 940, EFTPS, and labor burden rate.

What it is not

Not personalized tax, legal, or accounting advice, and not a computation of employee withholding — see paycheckmath for that. It does not compute an actual SUTA dollar figure for any state. FUTA credit-reduction percentages must be supplied by you (from the current year's Form 940 Schedule A); this connector does not track which states are under a reduction in any given year.

PayrollMath — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What PayrollMath is. PayrollMath is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for US employer-side payroll-tax calculations: the employer FICA match, FUTA, and a combined employer payroll-cost summary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — gross pay, year-to-date wage figures, a tax year, and optional state-credit-reduction flags — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every calculation uses bundled, dated IRS/SSA/DOL rate tables and standard published formulas computed from the numbers you provide; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any wage figure you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your employees' names or Social Security numbers, your EIN, or any other identifying or account information, and we do not build a payroll profile from your queries: each calculation is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. PayrollMath is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

PayrollMath — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the PayrollMath connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. PayrollMath returns US employer-side payroll-tax calculations — the employer's matching FICA contribution, FUTA at the standard/effective rate, an honest SUTA placeholder, and a combined employer payroll-cost summary — computed from bundled, dated IRS/SSA/DOL rate tables and the numbers you provide. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice. PayrollMath's calculations are general educational information based on rates and figures you supply or that are bundled from published government tables — not a recommendation, and not individualized tax, legal, or accounting advice. Consult a licensed accountant or payroll professional for guidance tailored to your situation before filing anything or relying on a figure for a business decision.
  3. Employer-side only; not employee withholding. This Service computes what the EMPLOYER owes on top of gross pay. It does not compute federal or state income tax withholding, or the employee's own share of FICA — for that, use the companion paycheckmath connector. Using PayrollMath's output as a substitute for an actual payroll system's withholding calculation is a misuse of the Service.
  4. SUTA is never computed. suta_placeholder provides general orientation only. State Unemployment Insurance rates and wage bases are set by each state and by your own experience rating; obtain your actual rate from your state's workforce agency or your payroll provider.
  5. Rates and rules change. The Social Security wage base changes annually; FUTA credit-reduction states and percentages are announced annually by the IRS via Form 940 Schedule A. Always check irs.gov, ssa.gov, or your state's workforce agency before relying on a figure for an actual filing.
  6. Estimates, not guarantees. Actual tax liability depends on facts (multi-state employment, successor employer rules, timely SUTA payment) this Service does not know; nothing in the Service guarantees any particular outcome.
  7. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  8. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  9. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  10. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  11. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any financial loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  12. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
