Extemporaneous-speaking practice prompts, prep-time structuring, and outline templates
Unify Dynamics LLC
Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
topic_generatorextemp_prep_structureprep_response_methodspeech_outline_templatePublicSpeak is an extemporaneous-speaking practice toolkit, computed locally. topic_generator gives generic, evergreen speech prompts (never tied to live news) across informative, persuasive, personal_narrative, and current_events_style categories. extemp_prep_structure gives a real prep-time breakdown and a speech-time breakdown across the standard 7-part extemp structure, defaulting to the widely used convention of 30 minutes of prep for up to a 7-minute speech, scaling to any length. prep_response_method gives the real PREP (Point, Reason, Example, Point) technique for a quick structured answer. speech_outline_template gives a type-appropriate outline (informative, persuasive, personal narrative, extemp) with each section's purpose. Keyless; zero upstream calls; nothing submitted is stored.
Sources: Computed locally / hand-curated speech-practice topics and structural reference; fully local, zero upstream calls
The publisher, Unify Dynamics LLC, states that tool inputs are processed in memory and not retained.

The practice work that comes before a speech exists: what should I even talk about, how should I use my prep time, how should I structure this kind of speech — answered locally, distinct from tools that analyze a speech you've already drafted or delivered. PublicSpeak explicitly extends the practice space that Podium (a separate connector) covers: Podium does filler-word and pacing analysis on a transcript you give it; PublicSpeak generates practice topics and structuring guidance before you have a transcript at all. The two don't overlap.
topic_generator gives generic, evergreen speech practice prompts across four categories — informative,
persuasive, personal_narrative, and current_events_style (generic policy-debate-style questions modeled on
competitive extemp questions, never tied to a specific real news event) — so prompts stay useful indefinitely
rather than going stale. extemp_prep_structure gives a real prep-time breakdown (read and choose,
brainstorm and research, outline, mental rehearsal) and a speech-time breakdown across the standard 7-part
extemporaneous-speech structure (attention getter, restate the question plus thesis, preview, three points
each following assertion-reasoning-evidence-link-back, conclusion), defaulting to the widely used competitive
convention of 30 minutes of prep for up to a 7-minute speech, and scaling proportionally to any prep/speech
length you give it. prep_response_method gives the real PREP (Point, Reason, Example, Point) technique for
structuring a coherent 30-90 second answer on the spot — useful for impromptu questions, Toastmasters-style
Table Topics, or interview answers. speech_outline_template gives a type-appropriate outline (informative,
persuasive, personal narrative, or extemp) with each section's purpose explained.
Not official rules for any specific tournament, league, or organization — the prep/speech time conventions and structures here are widely documented competitive-speaking practices, but exact time limits and conventions vary by circuit and level; check your own tournament's rules before relying on this for competition. Not a transcript analyzer — for filler-word and pacing feedback on a speech you've already drafted or recorded, use Podium instead. It never calls any outside service or database — everything is bundled with the server, and nothing you submit is stored or logged.

What PublicSpeak is. PublicSpeak is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local extemporaneous-speaking practice toolkit: a topic-prompt generator, a prep-time/speech-time structuring guide, the PREP quick-answer method, and speech-outline templates. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one tool call.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — which may include a topic category, a prep or speech length in minutes, or a speech type — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
We do not store, log, or retain the content of your queries. Every tool generates or looks up a result from a reference dataset bundled with the server, computed in memory for that one request — nothing about a specific query is written to a database, written to a request log, cached, or used to train anything. Request bodies are not logged.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps, never the request content) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — there is no upstream call at all; every tool reads from a reference file bundled with the server or computes on the numbers you provide. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived, content-free logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. PublicSpeak is a general-audience educational practice service operated by the adult using the assistant.
