Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
estimate_return_costworth_it_decisiondonate_vs_sell_vs_returnfree_return_check_tipspackaging_tipsinternational_return_noteglossaryReturnship is a fully local return-shipping cost estimator and a keep/return/donate/resell decision framework. estimate_return_cost gives an illustrative general cost range for a return by package size category, weight and distance tier — general ballpark figures, never a live quote from or a claim about any real carrier's current rates. size_category_guide and distance_tier_guide explain the categories. worth_it_decision nets a refund against any restocking fee and your own return-shipping cost (if the seller doesn't cover it) to show what you'd actually net back, with a verdict. donate_vs_sell_vs_return compares the net value of returning, keeping, donating, or reselling the item yourself, side by side, and names the best option by net cash value. free_return_check_tips lists what to check before assuming you must pay for return shipping. packaging_tips gives general packing guidance that avoids dimensional-weight surprises and damage-claim disputes. international_return_note orients you to the typical added cost, time and steps for an international return, and glossary defines restocking fee, dimensional weight, RMA, prepaid return label, return window and drop-off vs. pickup.
Sources: General, illustrative domestic/international parcel shipping cost patterns by size, weight and distance — not a live quote from, or a claim about, any specific real carrier's current published rates. All decision math runs locally on numbers you supply. Zero upstream calls.

"Is it even worth shipping this back?" — a fully local return-shipping cost estimator paired with a real decision framework, because the answer usually isn't just about the shipping cost alone.
estimate_return_cost gives an illustrative, general cost range for a return based on package size category,
weight and distance tier — a ballpark for the decision, never a live quote from or a claim about any specific
real carrier's current rates (those vary by carrier, service level, dimensional weight and fuel surcharges).
size_category_guide and distance_tier_guide explain the categories with examples. worth_it_decision is the
core calculator: it nets your refund against any restocking fee and your own return-shipping cost (if the seller
doesn't provide a free label) to show what you'd actually net back, with a plain verdict. donate_vs_sell_vs_return
widens the frame — it compares the net cash value of returning the item, keeping it, donating it, or reselling it
yourself, side by side, and names the best option by net value. free_return_check_tips lists what to check
before assuming you must pay for return shipping (prepaid labels, free in-store returns, restocking fees, return
windows, damaged/wrong-item exceptions). packaging_tips gives general packing guidance that avoids common
return problems like dimensional-weight surprises and damage-claim disputes. international_return_note orients
you to what's typically different about an international return — added cost, added time, customs paperwork.
glossary defines restocking fee, dimensional weight, RMA, prepaid return label, return window and drop-off vs.
pickup.
Not a live shipping-rate quote from any real carrier — every cost figure is a general, illustrative range meant to support the keep-vs-return decision, not to replace getting an actual quote or checking your return label before you decide. It also doesn't know the item's actual condition, your local donation options, or your region's specific customs rules — those are inputs you bring to the decision tools.
Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.
What Returnship is. Returnship is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local return-shipping cost estimator and a keep/return/donate/resell decision framework. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a package size category, weight and distance tier, a refund amount, an item value, a restocking fee percentage, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed locally and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party, including any shipping carrier or retailer — there is no upstream call at all — and no item, amount, or query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your address, or what item or order you're dealing with, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every calculation runs locally on the server. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Returnship is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
