About

Road Trip Kit is a fully local, hand-curated, platform-agnostic road-trip and overlanding planning reference and toolkit. vehicle_prep_checklist covers pre-trip vehicle checks for standard, overlanding, winter, or hot-climate trips. route_planning_framework gives general principles for segmenting a route by driving hours. packing_checklist gives base categories plus additions for a trip type and/or climate. emergency_kit_checklist covers what to carry for a breakdown, with optional winter additions. overlanding_checklist covers recovery gear, self-sufficiency, and trip-planning specific to remote travel. campsite_vs_lodging is a decision guide. daily_driving_plan, fuel_stop_plan and trip_budget_estimate are real local calculators computed from your own numbers: how many days a route needs at a sustainable daily driving pace, how many fuel stops it needs given a vehicle's range and safety margin, and a rough total-cost estimate from fuel, lodging, food and misc inputs. road_trip_glossary defines terms like overlanding, recovery gear, and buffer day. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Checklists and framework hand-curated from widely-published general road-trip and overlanding planning practice. daily_driving_plan, fuel_stop_plan and trip_budget_estimate are real arithmetic computed locally from the numbers supplied. Fully local; zero upstream calls.

Calculators3 tools
  • Daily driving planComputes a sustainable-pace route plan: total driving hours, recommended number of days, and distance per day, from total distance and…
  • Fuel stop planComputes how many fuel stops a route needs given the vehicle's range and a safety margin, and the suggested refuel interval.
  • Trip budget estimateA rough total-cost estimate for a road trip from fuel, lodging, food and misc inputs.

What Road Trip Kit is for

"What should I check on my car before a road trip?", "how many days should a 2000 km drive take?", "how many times will I need to refuel?" — a platform-agnostic road-trip and overlanding planning reference that mixes practical checklists with real, working calculators for the numbers that actually matter to plan a route.

What it does

vehicle_prep_checklist covers pre-trip vehicle checks for standard, overlanding, winter, or hot-climate trips. route_planning_framework gives general principles for segmenting a route by driving hours rather than distance alone. packing_checklist gives base categories plus additions for a trip type and/or climate. emergency_kit_checklist covers what to carry for a breakdown, with optional winter additions. overlanding_checklist covers recovery gear, self-sufficiency, and trip-planning specific to remote travel. campsite_vs_lodging is a decision guide. daily_driving_plan, fuel_stop_plan and trip_budget_estimate are real local calculators: how many days a route needs at a sustainable pace, how many fuel stops it needs given a vehicle's range and a safety margin, and a rough total-cost estimate from fuel, lodging, food and misc inputs. road_trip_glossary defines terms like overlanding and buffer day.

What it is not

Road Trip Kit is general and platform-agnostic — it isn't vehicle-specific technical advice and doesn't replace your vehicle's owner's manual or a mechanic's pre-trip inspection. Its calculators are planning estimates built from the numbers you give them, not guarantees: always build in a safety margin and check real, current conditions (weather, road closures, fuel station availability) before and during the trip.

Privacy policy

Road Trip Kit — Privacy Policy

Effective 26 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Road Trip Kit is. Road Trip Kit is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, fully local road-trip and overlanding planning reference and calculator set — checklists, a decision guide, and driving-time/fuel/budget calculators. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a trip type, a climate, or the trip numbers you supply for a calculation (distance, fuel efficiency, price, days, people) — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered or computed locally and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your vehicle's identity, or your actual route, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — checklists are bundled with the server and calculators run locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Road Trip Kit is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Road Trip Kit — Terms of Service

Effective 26 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Road Trip Kit connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Road Trip Kit returns a hand-curated, fully local road-trip and overlanding planning reference — checklists, a decision guide, and calculators for driving-time planning, fuel-stop planning, and trip-budget estimation. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. General guidance, not vehicle-specific technical advice. Road Trip Kit is a platform-agnostic educational and planning tool, not a substitute for your vehicle's owner's manual, a qualified mechanic's inspection, or your own judgment about your specific vehicle and route. Calculators are planning estimates derived only from the numbers you provide, not a guarantee of actual travel time, fuel needs, or cost.
  3. Not real-time conditions. The Service does not know current weather, road closures, fuel availability, or your vehicle's actual condition. Always verify real, current conditions before and during a trip.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: checklists are answered from bundled reference data and calculators run locally from the numbers you give; nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service, including vehicle breakdown, running out of fuel, or trip-cost overruns. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
