About

VendorCompare puts a real weighted vendor/supplier-comparison scorecard and evaluation reference behind one connector, computed locally from the scores you supply — nothing fetched, nothing stored, and no data about any real vendor. Vendor scorecard: score any number of vendors on price, quality, reliability, lead time, and payment terms (any consistent numeric scale), and get a verified weighted-sum total and rank for each — using the documented default weights (price 30%, quality 25%, reliability 20%, lead time 15%, payment terms 10%) or your own custom weights, normalized automatically. Default weights: the documented default weight set and the reasoning behind it. Vendor evaluation criteria reference: what experienced buyers weigh beyond unit price — total cost of ownership, financial stability, quality certifications, reliability track record, capacity to scale, single-source risk, payment terms, communication, contract/exit terms, compliance, and references. Glossary: weighted scorecard, TCO, single-source risk, lead time, payment terms, vendor lock-in, SLA, RFQ vs. RFP, force majeure clause. General decision-support information over data you provide, not procurement, legal, or accounting advice.

Sources: Computed locally / hand-curated — weighted-sum scorecard math over caller-supplied scores, documented default weights, and a hand-curated vendor-evaluation-criteria reference and glossary; fully local, zero upstream calls. General decision-support information, not procurement, legal, or accounting advice.

What VendorCompare is for

"Compare these three vendors on price, quality, and lead time", "which supplier wins if I weight reliability more heavily", "what should I consider besides price when picking a vendor", "what's an SLA" — the vendor-decision questions a small-business owner or buyer works through before signing a supplier contract. VendorCompare answers them with real weighted-sum arithmetic over the scores you supply, plus a hand-curated reference — no upstream calls, no accounts, nothing stored, and no data about any real vendor.

VendorCompare is a decision-support calculation and reference tool. It is NOT procurement, legal, or accounting advice, and it has no information about, and does not evaluate, any specific real vendor — every score comes from you.

What it does

Vendor scorecard. Give it a list of vendors, each scored on price, quality, reliability, lead time, and payment terms (any consistent numeric scale, e.g. 0-10), and it computes a real weighted-sum total for each vendor and ranks them. Use the documented default weights (price 30%, quality 25%, reliability 20%, lead time 15%, payment terms 10%) or supply your own — weights are normalized automatically, so custom weights don't need to add up to 100. Changing the weights can — and, in a close comparison, often should — change which vendor comes out on top.

Default weights. Returns the documented default weight set and the reasoning behind it, so you can see exactly what you're overriding when you supply your own.

Vendor evaluation criteria reference. What experienced buyers weigh beyond the unit price: total cost of ownership, financial stability, quality certifications, reliability track record (not just quoted lead time), capacity to scale, single-source/geographic concentration risk, payment terms and cash-flow impact, communication and responsiveness, contract and exit terms, compliance, and references.

Glossary. Weighted scorecard, total cost of ownership (TCO), single-source risk, lead time, payment terms, vendor lock-in/switching cost, SLA, RFQ vs. RFP, and force majeure clause.

What it is not

Not procurement, legal, or accounting advice, and not an evaluation of any actual vendor — it has no vendor data of its own. The quality of any scorecard result depends entirely on the honesty and consistency of the scores you provide; a weighted average of bad inputs is still a bad decision, computed precisely.

Privacy policy

VendorCompare — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What VendorCompare is. VendorCompare is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to compute a weighted vendor/supplier-comparison scorecard from scores you provide, and to return general vendor-evaluation reference content. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one calculation or lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — vendor names and the numeric scores and weights you supply, or a glossary search term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every scorecard result is a weighted-sum calculation over the exact names, scores, and weights you provide; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including vendor names or scores — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or any information about a vendor relationship beyond the names and scores you choose to pass into a calculation, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. VendorCompare is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

VendorCompare — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the VendorCompare connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. VendorCompare computes a weighted vendor/supplier-comparison scorecard from names, scores, and optional weights you provide, and returns general reference content about vendor-evaluation criteria and terminology. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not procurement, legal, or accounting advice. Every scorecard result is a mechanical weighted-sum calculation over data YOU supply — it is not a recommendation, not individualized procurement, legal, or accounting advice, and using the Service does not create any professional relationship. Consult your own procurement, legal, or accounting professionals before making a purchasing or contracting decision.
  3. No data about, or evaluation of, any real vendor. The Service has no independent information about any actual vendor's price, quality, reliability, or any other attribute. Every score and weight in a calculation is supplied by the caller, and the Service's output is only as accurate as that input.
  4. Not a substitute for due diligence. The vendor-evaluation-criteria reference is general and does not cover every consideration relevant to every purchase. Conduct your own due diligence — references, financial checks, sample orders, contract review — before relying on any vendor relationship.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any financial or other loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service, including any vendor-selection decision made using its output. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
