SM-2 spaced-repetition scheduling for any vocabulary or term/definition list
Unify Dynamics LLC
Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
schedule_reviewnew_itemreview_batchdue_itemsmastery_levelalgorithm_explainerVocabSpaced computes spaced-repetition scheduling for any vocabulary or term/definition list — languages, technical terms, exam prep, anything — for teens through adult learners. It implements SM-2, the documented SuperMemo-2 algorithm: an ease factor that rises on confident correct recall and falls on a weak or failed one, with intervals that grow 1 day, then 6 days, then previous-interval-times-ease-factor on each further success, and reset to 1 day on any failure. new_item creates a brand-new item's starting state. schedule_review grades one review (0-5 quality) and returns the updated ease factor, interval, repetition count and next review date. review_batch grades a whole session in one call. due_items splits a list of scheduled items into due (most-overdue first) and not-yet-due. mastery_level classifies a card as new, learning, young or mature. algorithm_explainer lays out the exact formula. Stateless: nothing is stored between calls, so you (or your assistant) hold each item's scheduling state and pass it back in. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls.

VocabSpaced is a spaced-repetition scheduler for any vocabulary or term/definition list — languages, technical terms, exam prep, anything you're memorizing. It is built for teens through adult learners, not a kids' tool.
It implements SM-2, the well-documented SuperMemo-2 algorithm published by Piotr Wozniak in 1987, the ancestor of the scheduling logic in most modern spaced-repetition apps. Given an item's current state — ease factor, interval, repetition count — and a 0-5 grade for how well you recalled it, VocabSpaced computes the updated ease factor, the next interval, and the exact next-review date.
new_item creates the starting scheduling state for a brand-new term/definition pair.schedule_review grades one review and returns the updated ease factor, interval, repetition
count and next review date.review_batch grades a whole session's worth of items in one call.due_items takes a list of scheduled items and tells you which are due today, most-overdue first.mastery_level classifies a card as new, learning, young or mature from its interval and
repetition count.algorithm_explainer explains exactly how the SM-2 math works — the quality scale, the
ease-factor formula, the interval rule.VocabSpaced is stateless. It does not store your vocabulary list or your review history between calls. You (or the assistant calling it on your behalf) keep each item's scheduling state and pass it back in on the next review — the same way any spaced-repetition app tracks its own deck, except the scheduling math itself runs here.
This is a scheduling calculator, not a flashcard app or a specific exam's official study tool — it has no affiliation with any test, course or publisher.

What VocabSpaced is. VocabSpaced is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to compute spaced-repetition scheduling: given a vocabulary term, its definition, a recall-quality grade, and the item's current scheduling state, it returns the updated ease factor, interval and next review date. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the values needed for that one calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a term and definition, a recall-quality grade, an ease factor/interval/repetition count you supply, and an optional review date — plus the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every response is derived purely from the arguments of that one call using the SM-2 formula; no vocabulary list, review history or scheduling state is retained after the response is sent, no request is forwarded to any third party, and nothing is used to train anything. If you want your review history kept, that is your (or your assistant's) responsibility — VocabSpaced has no database of its own.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, an account, a login, or any identifying information beyond the technical request metadata above, and we do not build a learning profile from queries: each call is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
