Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls.

Two genuinely different, easily confused things live under "Arabic numerals": the digit glyphs used to write numbers (and the real, slightly ironic story of which ones are "Eastern" and which are "Western"), and the much older abjad system that gives Arabic letters a numeric value, used historically for numbering, chronograms and numerology. Both are answered here from one fully local reference and calculator, along with the verified history of how the underlying decimal system reached Europe through Al-Khwarizmi.
Digit conversion both ways — to_eastern_arabic_numerals renders a Western number (0-9) in the Eastern
Arabic-Indic digits (٠-٩) actually used for numbers across most of the Arab world today; to_western_numerals
converts back, also normalising the Persian/Urdu digit variant. numeral_systems_info explains the naming
history and its genuine irony: what English calls "Arabic numerals" (0-9) are the Western Arabic/Maghrebi
descendant forms, not what most Arabic speakers write, and the underlying positional decimal system (with
zero) originated in India. abjad_value computes the traditional abjad numerical value of Arabic text — the
sum of each letter's inherited value — with a real 28-letter value table (verified against public reference
sources, cross-checked end to end against the well-documented fact that the full Basmala sums to 786).
abjad_letter_info looks up one letter's value. abjad_system_info explains the abjad-hawwaz letter order
and its historical uses — numbering, chronograms (a phrase's letter-sum encoding a date), and numerology.
al_khwarizmi_info gives a verified biography of the 9th-century Baghdad scholar behind both "algorithm" and
"algebra". number_word_info spells out a number 0-999 in Arabic script and transliteration. numeral_glossary
defines terms like sifr, ghubar numerals, and chronogram.
Not a live translation service, a general Arabic-language tool, or a substitute for a qualified Arabic
teacher or a numerologist's own tradition — abjad_value computes the mainstream (Mashriqi) table's sum
mechanically and factually, without endorsing any numerological or divinatory interpretation of the result.
number_word_info covers whole numbers 0-999 in formal Modern Standard Arabic transliteration, not regional
dialect variants, ordinals, or currency/date phrasing. Historical content (abjad_system_info,
al_khwarizmi_info, numeral_systems_info) is a hand-curated, WebSearch-verified reference as of its stated
build date, not a live, continuously updated encyclopedia — dates and attributions reflect the commonly
documented, mainstream account where historical sources note some uncertainty (Al-Khwarizmi's exact birth
year among them).
to_eastern_arabic_numerals — Convert a Western numeral (0-9) to Eastern Arabic-Indic digits (٠-٩) — the digits actually used for writing numbers across most of the Arab world today. Use for "convert 2026 to Arabic numerals", "write 42 in Eastern Arabic digits". Args: number.
to_western_numerals — Convert Eastern Arabic-Indic digits (٠-٩) back to Western numerals (0-9). Use for "what number is ٤٢", "convert ٢٠٢٦ to Western digits". Args: eastern_arabic_string.
numeral_systems_info — Explains the Eastern Arabic vs. Western Arabic numeral naming and history — including the genuine irony that what English calls "Arabic numerals" (0-9) are the Western Arabic/Maghrebi descendant forms, not what most Arabic speakers write, and that the underlying decimal system originated in India. Use for "why are they called Arabic numerals", "what's the difference between Eastern and Western Arabic numerals".
abjad_value — Computes the traditional abjad numerical value of Arabic text: the sum of each letter's inherited numeric value (ا=1, ب=2 ... غ=1000). Diacritics and non-letter characters are ignored. Use for "abjad value of a name", "what does this phrase add up to in abjad", "hisab al-jummal of بسم الله". Args: text.
abjad_letter_info — One Arabic letter's traditional abjad numeric value and name. Use for "what's the abjad value of ب", "abjad value of ك". Args: letter.
abjad_system_info — Historical explanation of the abjad system: the abjad-hawwaz letter order, its traditional uses for numbering, chronograms (dates encoded in a phrase's letter-sum) and numerology — distinct from the modern digit systems. Use for "how does the abjad system work", "what is a chronogram", "history of abjad numerals".
al_khwarizmi_info — A verified, factual biography of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi — the 9th-century Baghdad scholar behind both the word "algorithm" (from a Latinization of his name) and "algebra" (from al-jabr, his treatise's title) — and his role transmitting the Hindu-Arabic numeral system to Europe. Use for "who was al-Khwarizmi", "where does the word algorithm come from", "who invented algebra".
number_word_info — Spells out a number (0-999) in Arabic script and transliteration — ones, teens, tens and hundreds, with the ones-and-tens order and wa- (and) joining that Arabic grammar uses. Use for "how do you say 47 in Arabic", "spell out 235 in Arabic". Args: number, language.
numeral_glossary — Definitions of numeral-and-abjad terms (abjad, chronogram, sifr, ghubar numerals, hisab al-jummal, al-jabr, algorism, House of Wisdom, and more). Use for "what does sifr mean", "what is a ghubar numeral", "what does al-jabr mean". Args: term.

What Abjad (Numerals) is. Abjad (Numerals) is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for Arabic numeral-system conversion and reference — Eastern/Western Arabic digit conversion, abjad letter-value calculation, Arabic number spelling, and historical reference content on the abjad system and Al-Khwarizmi. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one call.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a number or digit string to convert, Arabic text or a single letter to compute an abjad value for, a number to spell out, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed or answered locally, and nothing is stored. All digit conversion and abjad-value computation runs in the server's own code; all historical/reference content is answered from a bundled reference file. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query text (numbers, Arabic text, or letters submitted) is logged, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — all computation and reference data is bundled with and run by the server itself. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Abjad (Numerals) is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Abjad (Numerals) connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").
abjad_value mechanically sums letter values from a fixed, documented table; it makes no claim about, and
does not endorse, any numerological, divinatory, or mystical interpretation of the result, though it
describes such traditional uses factually as history. The Service is not a certified Arabic-language
translation tool, a substitute for a qualified language teacher, or religious guidance of any kind.Email agent@connectorbay.com. We answer within two business days.

Never send us passwords, account numbers or ID numbers. Abjad (Numerals) never asks for them.
