Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
replacement_timing_recommendationrepair_vs_replace_cost_checke_waste_disposal_guidancedevice_longevity_tipsdevice_type_referenceAppLifecycle is a fully local device-upgrade/e-waste responsible-disposal toolkit. replacement_timing_recommendation takes a device type, its age, and a 1-5 satisfaction rating, and applies a real 3x3 decision matrix — age bucketed against that device type's documented typical lifespan crossed with satisfaction — recommending keep/monitor/consider-repair/replace-soon/replace-now, with device-specific repair suggestions attached whenever it's not a clean keep. repair_vs_replace_cost_check applies the widely cited 50% rule to a repair cost against either your own new-device quote or a typical reference price. e_waste_disposal_guidance covers why not to trash electronics, take-back/trade-in program concepts, and certified e-waste recycler standards (R2, e-Stewards). device_longevity_tips gives practical care tips by device type. device_type_reference lists every device type covered. Ten device types: smartphone, laptop, desktop, tablet, smart TV, smartwatch, router, gaming console, printer, camera. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Computed locally / hand-curated — documented typical device lifespans, the widely cited '50% rule' repair-vs-replace heuristic, and real e-waste certification standards (R2/SERI, e-Stewards); fully local, zero upstream calls

"Should I fix it or replace it" is a question people usually answer on vibes. AppLifecycle turns it into an actual decision framework — a real age-vs-satisfaction matrix for timing, and the documented 50% cost-ratio rule for repair-vs-replace — plus straight guidance for disposing of a device responsibly once you do replace it.
AppLifecycle is a fully local, hand-curated device-lifecycle toolkit. replacement_timing_recommendation takes a device type, its age, and a 1-5 satisfaction rating, and applies a real 3x3 decision matrix — age bucketed against that device type's documented typical lifespan (young/mid/old) crossed with satisfaction (low/mid/high) — to recommend keep/monitor/consider-repair/replace-soon/replace-now; five of the matrix's nine outcomes are NOT "replace." repair_vs_replace_cost_check applies the widely cited 50% rule: once a repair costs roughly half or more of a comparable new device, replacing is generally the better value, shown against either your own new-device quote or a typical reference price. e_waste_disposal_guidance covers why not to trash electronics, the take-back/ trade-in program concept, and certified e-waste recycler standards (R2, e-Stewards). device_longevity_tips gives practical, device-specific care tips. device_type_reference lists every device type covered with its typical lifespan and reference price. Ten device types: smartphone, laptop, desktop, tablet, smart TV, smartwatch, router, gaming console, printer, camera. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing is stored.
Not a diagnosis of your specific device — the age/satisfaction matrix and repair options reflect general, documented patterns for a device category, not an inspection of the actual unit in front of you. Not affiliated with R2 or e-Stewards, or with any device manufacturer, repair shop, or trade-in program it generically describes. The 50% rule and the decision matrix are planning heuristics, not guarantees — a device with sentimental or irreplaceable value, or unusual repair-parts availability, can reasonably override either. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

What AppLifecycle is. AppLifecycle is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for device-upgrade timing, repair-vs-replace cost guidance, and e-waste disposal reference. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — things like a device type (e.g. "laptop"), its age in years, a 1-5 satisfaction rating, or an estimated repair/replacement cost — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs. We never receive a serial number, IMEI, device identifier, or anything that identifies your specific physical device — AppLifecycle's tools don't ask for it.
Everything is answered from bundled reference data or computed on the fly, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — all reference data is bundled with the server and every calculation runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. AppLifecycle is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
