What Abstract Timezones (BYOK) is for
Abstract Timezones (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Abstract Timezones data through the Abstract Timezones API with a key you supply (Abstract Timezone API key). Read-only: 2 tools (get_current_time, convert_time). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to timezone.abstractapi.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Abstract Timezones. Abstract Timezones and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What time is it in Los Angeles right now?"
- "If it is 9:00 in London, what time is it in Tokyo?"
What it does
get_current_time: Get the current date, time and time zone (IANA name, abbreviation, GMT offset, daylight-saving flag) of a place, coordinate or IP address. Each call counts against the plan's request quota.convert_time: Convert the current time, or a given date-time, of one location into the local time of another location.
BYOK key
You bring your own Abstract Timezones Abstract Timezone API key (https://app.abstractapi.com/dashboard). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to timezone.abstractapi.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
