What Acryl Cloud (BYOK) is for
Acryl Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Acryl Cloud data through the Acryl Cloud API with a key you supply (DataHub personal access token). Read-only: 9 tools (search_entities, list_datasets, list_glossary_terms, list_dashboards, get_dataset, get_lineage, get_entity_counts, list_domains, list_ingestion_sources). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.acryl.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Acryl Cloud. Acryl Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Find DataHub datasets about orders"
- "Which datasets does DataHub know about?"
- "What glossary terms exist in DataHub?"
- "Which dashboards are in DataHub?"
- "Show the schema of the DataHub dataset orders"
- "What feeds the DataHub dataset orders?"
What it does
search_entities: Full-text search across the catalog, optionally for one entity type, returning urn, type, name, platform and description.list_datasets: List datasets (tables, views, topics) with name, platform and description, optionally filtered by search text.list_glossary_terms: List business glossary terms with name and description, optionally filtered by search text.list_dashboards: List dashboards with name, description and source tool, optionally filtered by search text.get_dataset: Get one dataset by URN: name, platform, description and its schema fields with type and description.get_lineage: List entities upstream or downstream of an entity (data lineage) with their degree of separation.get_entity_counts: Count catalog entities by type (datasets, dashboards, charts, domains and so on).list_domains: List data domains with name and description, with paging.list_ingestion_sources: List managed ingestion sources with name, type, schedule interval and time zone. Source configuration is not requested.
BYOK key
You bring your own Acryl Cloud DataHub personal access token (https://docs.datahub.com/docs/authentication/personal-access-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.acryl.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources

Live from the Acryl Cloud API (*.acryl.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.datahub.com/docs/api/graphql/how-to-set-up-graphql. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Acryl Cloud. Acryl Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Acryl Cloud account.
