What Algolia Analytics (BYOK) is for

Algolia Analytics (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Algolia Analytics data through the Algolia Analytics API with a key you supply (API key with the analytics permission). Read-only: 12 tools (get_searches_count, get_no_results_rate, get_no_click_rate, get_click_through_rate, get_average_click_position, get_conversion_rate, get_add_to_cart_rate, get_purchase_rate, get_users_count, get_top_countries, get_top_filter_attributes, get_analytics_status). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to analytics.algolia.com. What it does

  • get_searches_count: Count searches on an index over a period, in total and per day.
  • get_no_results_rate: Show the share of searches that returned no results on an index: overall rate, search count, no-result count and the per-day series.
  • get_no_click_rate: Show the share of tracked searches with no click on an index: overall rate, search count, no-click count and the per-day series.
  • get_click_through_rate: Show the click-through rate of searches on an index: rate, click count, tracked search count and the per-day series.
  • get_average_click_position: Show the average position of clicked results on an index, with click count and the per-day series.
  • get_conversion_rate: Show the conversion rate of searches on an index: rate, tracked search count, conversion count and the per-day series.
  • get_add_to_cart_rate: Show the add-to-cart rate of searches on an index: rate, tracked search count, add-to-cart count and the per-day series.
  • get_purchase_rate: Show the purchase rate of searches on an index: rate, tracked search count, purchase count and the per-day series.
  • get_users_count: Count distinct users who searched an index over a period, in total and per day.
  • get_top_countries: List the countries with the most searches on an index, with search counts.
  • get_top_filter_attributes: List the filter attributes used most in searches on an index, with usage counts.
  • get_analytics_status: Show when the analytics data of an index was last updated (data refreshes every 5 minutes; null if the index has had no searches).

BYOK key

You bring your own Algolia Analytics API key with the analytics permission (https://dashboard.algolia.com/account/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to analytics.algolia.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
