What Amplitude (BYOK) is for

Amplitude (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Amplitude data through the Amplitude API with a key you supply (project API key). Read-only: 7 tools (get_active_new_users, get_average_session_length, get_sessions_per_user, get_user_composition, list_events, get_event_segmentation, get_realtime_active_users). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to amplitude.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amplitude. Amplitude and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many active users did my Amplitude project have each day last week?"
  • "What is the average session length in Amplitude this week?"
  • "How many sessions per user do I get per day in Amplitude?"
  • "Which countries are my Amplitude users in?"
  • "Which events are tracked in my Amplitude project?"
  • "How many times was the watch_tutorial event triggered per day in Amplitude last week?"

What it does

  • get_active_new_users: Get the number of active or new users per day, week or month for a date range, optionally segmented or grouped by a property. Dashboard REST API limits apply (5 concurrent requests, hourly cost budget).
  • get_average_session_length: Get the average session length in seconds for each day of a date range.
  • get_sessions_per_user: Get the average number of sessions per user for each day of a date range.
  • get_user_composition: Get how users are distributed across the values of one user property (for example country or platform) in a date range.
  • list_events: List the visible event types with this week's totals, display names and hidden, deleted and inactive flags.
  • get_event_segmentation: Get metrics for one event over a date range: uniques, totals, share of daily active users or average, per day, week or month, optionally grouped by a property.
  • get_realtime_active_users: Get active user counts in 5-minute steps for the last two days, today against yesterday.

BYOK key

You bring your own Amplitude project API key (https://amplitude.com/docs/apis/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to amplitude.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Amplitude API (amplitude.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://amplitude.com/docs/apis/analytics/dashboard-rest. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amplitude. Amplitude and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Amplitude account.
