What Annict (BYOK) is for

Annict (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Annict data through the Annict API with a key you supply (Annict personal access token). Read-only: 9 tools (list_works, list_episodes, list_characters, list_casts, list_staffs, list_people, list_organizations, list_series, list_reviews). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.annict.com.   • "Which anime aired in spring 2016, most watched first?"
  • "What are the episodes of Annict work 4168?"
  • "Find the anime character named Aoi"
  • "Who voices the characters of Annict work 4168?"
  • "Who directed Annict work 4168?"
  • "Find the person named Mizushima in Annict"

What it does

  • list_works: Search anime works by title, season or id, with media type, release date, links, episode count and number of watchers. Titles are mostly Japanese.
  • list_episodes: List episodes with number, subtitle and record counts, filterable by work.
  • list_characters: List anime characters with names, birthday, age, blood type, occupation, description and favorite count, searchable by name.
  • list_casts: List voice cast entries: the performer name, the character and the work, filterable by work.
  • list_staffs: List staff credits (director, studio and others) with role and the person or studio, filterable by work.
  • list_people: List people (voice actors, directors and others) with birthday, links, and counts of cast and staff credits, searchable by name.
  • list_organizations: List organizations (animation studios, production companies) with links and number of staff credits, searchable by name.
  • list_series: List franchise series (groups of related works and characters) with Japanese, romaji and English names, searchable by name.
  • list_reviews: List public reviews of works with ratings for animation, music, story, characters and overall, and like counts, filterable by work.

BYOK key

You bring your own Annict Annict personal access token (https://annict.com/settings/apps). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.annict.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
