What Anthropic API models and batches (BYOK) is for

Anthropic API models and batches (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Anthropic data through the Anthropic API with a key you supply (Anthropic API key). Read-only: 4 tools (list_models, get_model, list_message_batches, get_message_batch). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.anthropic.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic. Anthropic and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Claude models can my API key use?"
  • "What is the context window of claude-opus-5-5?"
  • "Are any of my Anthropic message batches still processing?"
  • "What is the status of message batch msgbatch_013Zva2CMHLNnXjNJJKqJ2EF?"

What it does

  • list_models: List the Claude models available to the key, newest first (retired models are left out), with display name, lifecycle (active or deprecated), release and retirement dates, context size and output limit. Reads metadata only: it sends no prompt and uses no tokens.
  • get_model: Get one Claude model by id or alias: display name, lifecycle, retirement date, context window, maximum output tokens and supported capabilities. Reads metadata only: it sends no prompt and uses no tokens.
  • list_message_batches: List your message batches (newest first) with processing status, request counts by outcome and key dates. Does not return the batch results. Reads metadata only: it sends no prompt and uses no tokens.
  • get_message_batch: Get the status of one message batch by id: processing status, counts of succeeded, errored, canceled and expired requests, and dates. Does not return the batch results. Reads metadata only: it sends no prompt and uses no tokens.

BYOK key

You bring your own Anthropic Anthropic API key (https://platform.claude.com/settings/keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.anthropic.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/api/models/list. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic. Anthropic and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Anthropic account.
