What Astronomer (BYOK) is for

Astronomer (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Astronomer data through the Astronomer API with a key you supply (Astro API token (Workspace or Organization token)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_organizations, get_organization, list_workspaces, list_deployments, get_deployment, list_deploys, list_clusters, list_users, list_teams, get_current_user). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.astronomer.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Astronomer. Astronomer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Astro organizations can my token see?"
  • "Show details of my Astro organization"
  • "Which Astro workspaces do we have?"
  • "Which Astro deployments are running and on which Airflow version?"
  • "How is the Astro deployment prod-etl configured?"
  • "What were the last deploys of Astro deployment prod-etl?"

What it does

  • list_organizations: List the Astro Organizations the token can access with id, name, product, status and billing plan.
  • get_organization: Get one Organization: name, product, status, plan names and SCIM state.
  • list_workspaces: List the Workspaces of an Organization with name, description, default cloud and region.
  • list_deployments: List Airflow Deployments of an Organization with Workspace, runtime and Airflow version, executor, cloud, region, size and status. Environment variables are not returned.
  • get_deployment: Get one Deployment: status, versions, executor, scheduler and web server sizing, URLs, and last update. Environment variables are not returned.
  • list_deploys: List code deploys of a Deployment, newest first, with type, status, image tag, git commit and branch.
  • list_clusters: List dedicated clusters of an Organization with cloud, region, status and health.
  • list_users: List the users of an Organization (or a Workspace) with name, username, organization role and status.
  • list_teams: List the Teams of an Organization with name, description, organization role and IdP-managed flag.
  • get_current_user: Show the Astro user or token identity making the request: id, name, username, status and roles.

BYOK key

You bring your own Astronomer Astro API token (Workspace or Organization token) (https://cloud.astronomer.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.astronomer.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Astronomer API (api.astronomer.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://astronomer.io/docs/astro/api/v-1/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Astronomer. Astronomer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Astronomer account.
