What Barcode Lookup (BYOK) is for
Barcode Lookup (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Barcode Lookup data through the Barcode Lookup API with a key you supply (Barcode Lookup API key). Read-only: 8 tools (lookup_by_barcode, lookup_by_asin, lookup_by_mpn, search_products_by_title, search_products, search_products_by_brand, search_products_by_manufacturer, search_products_by_category). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.barcodelookup.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Barcode Lookup. Barcode Lookup and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What product has barcode 885909950805?"
- "What product has Amazon ASIN B00E4FU1LK?"
- "Which product has manufacturer part number MQ022LL/A?"
- "Find products titled Nikon D850"
- "Search for stainless steel water bottles"
- "Which products does the brand Bose make?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Barcode Lookup Barcode Lookup API key (https://www.barcodelookup.com/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.barcodelookup.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
