What Baseten (BYOK) is for
Baseten (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Baseten data through the Baseten API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_models, get_model, list_model_deployments, list_instance_types, list_instance_type_prices, list_regions, list_teams, list_model_apis, get_billing_usage_summary). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.baseten.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Baseten. Baseten and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which models do I have deployed on Baseten?"
- "What instance type does my Baseten model abcd1234 use?"
- "Which deployments does my Baseten model have and are they active?"
- "What GPU instance types does Baseten offer?"
- "How much does each Baseten GPU instance type cost?"
- "In which regions can I deploy on Baseten?"
What it does
list_models: List your Baseten models with team, instance type, deployment count and production and development deployment ids.get_model: Get one Baseten model by id: name, team, instance type, deployment count and deployment ids.list_model_deployments: List the deployments of a Baseten model with status, replica count, autoscaling limits, instance type, region and whether each is production.list_instance_types: List Baseten instance types with GPU type and count, GPU memory, CPU and memory limits.list_instance_type_prices: List Baseten instance types with their usage price in USD per minute.list_regions: List the regions available to your Baseten organization.list_teams: List the teams in your Baseten workspace with id, name, default flag and creation time.list_model_apis: List the Baseten Model APIs catalog with context length, price per million input and output tokens, and release date.get_billing_usage_summary: Show Baseten billing usage for a date range of at most 31 days: totals and minutes for dedicated serving, training and Model APIs.
BYOK key
You bring your own Baseten API key (https://app.baseten.co/settings/api_keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.baseten.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
