What Billy (BYOK) is for

Billy (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Billy data through the Billy API with a key you supply (Billy access token (one per organization)). Read-only: 6 tools (get_organization, list_invoices, list_bills, list_contacts, list_products, list_accounts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.billysbilling.com. Billy and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Billy organization is my token connected to?"
  • "Which Billy invoices are unpaid and past due?"
  • "Which Billy bills are still unpaid?"
  • "Who are my customers in Billy?"
  • "What products are set up in Billy?"
  • "What accounts are in my Billy chart of accounts?"

What it does

  • get_organization: Show the Billy organization the token belongs to: name, address, registration number, base currency, VAT settings, default tax mode and next invoice number.
  • list_invoices: List sales invoices with number, contact, entry and due dates, state, amounts, balance, paid flag and download link, filterable by state, paid flag, contact and dates.
  • list_bills: List supplier bills with contact name, entry, due and payment dates, state, amounts, balance and paid flag, filterable by state, paid flag, contact and dates.
  • list_contacts: List customers and suppliers with name, type, contact number, address, phone, registration number, payment terms and archived flag.
  • list_products: List products and services with name, description, product number and archived flag.
  • list_accounts: List the chart of accounts with name, account number, description, system role and bank details of bank accounts.

BYOK key

You bring your own Billy Billy access token (one per organization) (https://www.billy.dk/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.billysbilling.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
