What Biteship (BYOK) is for

Biteship (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Biteship data through the Biteship API with a key you supply (Biteship API key (biteship_live.... or biteship_test....)). Read-only: 6 tools (list_couriers, search_areas, get_shipping_rates, get_tracking, get_order, get_saved_location). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.biteship.com. What it does

  • list_couriers: List the courier services available through Biteship: courier and service codes, tier, service type, shipping type, duration range and COD, proof-of-delivery support.
  • search_areas: Search Biteship delivery areas by name (province, city, district or postal code) and get the area id used for rate quotes.
  • get_shipping_rates: Quote shipping prices for one item between two Biteship area ids with the couriers you name (a quote only: nothing is booked or charged).
  • get_tracking: Get the tracking status and history of a shipment created through the Biteship order API, by tracking id (driver and contact details are left out).
  • get_order: Get one Biteship shipment order by id: status, price, courier, waybill, delivery type, distance and items (shipper, sender, receiver and driver contact details are left out).
  • get_saved_location: Get one saved pickup location of the account by id: its name and address (contact person and phone are left out).

BYOK key

You bring your own Biteship Biteship API key (biteship_live.... or biteship_test....) (https://dashboard.biteship.com/integrations). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.biteship.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
