What Buddy Works (BYOK) is for

Buddy Works (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Buddy Works data through the Buddy Works API with a key you supply (Buddy personal access token). Read-only: 9 tools (list_workspaces, get_workspace, list_projects, get_project, list_pipelines, get_pipeline, list_executions, get_execution, list_repository_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.buddy.works. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Buddy Works. Buddy Works and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Buddy.Works workspaces can my token access?"
  • "Show my Buddy.Works workspace settings"
  • "What projects are in my Buddy.Works workspace?"
  • "Show the details of Buddy.Works project my-project"
  • "Which pipelines does my Buddy.Works project have and did the last runs pass?"
  • "Show the settings and last run of Buddy.Works pipeline 123"

What it does

  • list_workspaces: List the Buddy.Works workspaces the token can access with ID, name and domain.
  • get_workspace: Get a Buddy.Works workspace: name, domain, owner ID, frozen flag, creation date, default pipeline resources and SSO flag.
  • list_projects: List the projects of a Buddy.Works workspace with display name, status, access level and creation date, filterable by status.
  • get_project: Get one Buddy.Works project: display name, status, access, creation date, default branch and repository URLs.
  • list_pipelines: List the pipelines of a Buddy.Works project with name, trigger refs and events, priority, disabled flag and the status of the last run.
  • get_pipeline: Get one pipeline: name, trigger refs, events, priority, disabled reason, last run status and revision, and run settings.
  • list_executions: List runs (executions) of a pipeline with status, trigger, start and finish times, branch and commit; newest first with paging totals.
  • get_execution: Get one pipeline run: status, trigger, priority, start and finish times, comment, branch and commit.
  • list_repository_tags: List the git tags of a Buddy.Works project's repository.

BYOK key

You bring your own Buddy Works Buddy personal access token (https://buddy.works/docs/api/getting-started/oauth2/personal-access-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.buddy.works over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Only the default Buddy.Works region (api.buddy.works) is supported; EU, on-premises and other regional hosts are not. The token's scopes decide what it can read.

Data sources

Live from the Buddy Works API (api.buddy.works) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://buddy.works/docs/api/getting-started/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Buddy Works. Buddy Works and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Buddy Works account.
