What Buy Where (BYOK) is for

Buy Where (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Buy Where data through the Buy Where API with a key you supply (BuyWhere API key). Read-only: 10 tools (search_products, get_product, list_deals, compare_products, get_price_history, get_product_prices, find_similar_products, list_categories, get_category_products, list_featured_products). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.buywhere.ai. Buy Where and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

  • "Show the details of product 12345."
  • "What are the biggest discounts on offer in Singapore?"

What it does

  • search_products: Search products across merchants by keyword with filters for price, country, currency and deliverability. Each product has title, price, merchant, URL and category path.
  • get_product: Get the full details of one product by its BuyWhere id.
  • list_deals: List discounted products sorted by discount percentage, optionally for one country.
  • compare_products: Compare two or more products side by side by id.
  • get_price_history: Get the historical price points of a product for charting.
  • get_product_prices: Get price snapshots of a product from merchant feeds over the last days (up to 90).
  • find_similar_products: Find products similar to a given one by embedding similarity.
  • list_categories: List the top-level product categories.
  • get_category_products: List products within a category by slug.
  • list_featured_products: List featured products (newest active ones) for a country.

BYOK key

You bring your own Buy Where BuyWhere API key (https://buywhere.ai/developers). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.buywhere.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
