What Cal.com Event Types (BYOK) is for

Cal.com Event Types (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cal.com Event Types data through the Cal.com Event Types API with a key you supply (Cal.com API key (starts with cal_live_)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_event_types, get_event_type, get_event_type_booking_fields, list_team_event_types, get_team_event_type, get_team_event_type_booking_fields, list_teams, get_team). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cal.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cal.com Event Types. Cal.com Event Types and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What event types do I have on Cal.com?"
  • "Show the details of my Cal.com event type 1"
  • "What questions does my Cal.com event type 1 ask when someone books?"
  • "What event types does Cal.com team 12 have?"
  • "Show Cal.com team 12 event type 2"
  • "What does the booking form of Cal.com team 12 event type 2 ask?"

What it does

  • list_event_types: List the event types (booking page templates) of the key's account, or of the user given by username: title, slug, length, price, locations, buffers and booking link.
  • get_event_type: Get one event type by id: title, slug, length, description, price, locations, buffers, slot interval and booking link.
  • get_event_type_booking_fields: Get the booking form definition of an event type: the questions asked of a booker (type, slug, label, required). Definitions only.
  • list_team_event_types: List the event types of a team: title, slug, length, scheduling type (round robin, collective, managed) and booking link. Host names are not returned.
  • get_team_event_type: Get one team event type by team and event type id: title, slug, length, scheduling type and booking link.
  • get_team_event_type_booking_fields: Get the booking form definition of a team event type: the questions asked of a booker (type, slug, label, required).
  • list_teams: List the Cal.com teams the key's account belongs to: name, slug, bio, privacy flag, time zone and week start.
  • get_team: Get one Cal.com team by id: name, slug, bio, privacy flag, time zone and week start.

BYOK key

You bring your own Cal.com Event Types Cal.com API key (starts with cal_live_) (https://app.cal.com/settings/developer/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cal.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Cal.com Event Types API (api.cal.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://cal.com/docs/api-reference/v2/introduction. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not
