What Capsule CRM (BYOK) is for

Capsule CRM (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Capsule CRM data through the Capsule CRM API with a key you supply (Capsule personal access token). Read-only: 11 tools (get_current_user, list_users, list_parties, search_parties, list_opportunities, search_opportunities, list_projects, search_projects, list_tasks, list_pipelines, list_pipeline_milestones). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.capsulecrm.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Capsule user is my token for?"
  • "Who are the users in my Capsule account?"
  • "List my recently changed Capsule contacts"
  • "Find Capsule contact Acme"
  • "What opportunities do I have in Capsule?"
  • "Find Capsule opportunities for Acme"

What it does

  • get_current_user: Show the Capsule user the token belongs to: name, username, time zone, status and last login.
  • list_users: List the users of the Capsule account with name, username and status.
  • list_parties: List Capsule parties (people and organisations) with emails, phones, owner and dates, optionally only those changed since a time.
  • search_parties: Search Capsule parties (people and organisations) by name, phone number or postcode.
  • list_opportunities: List Capsule opportunities with party, milestone, value, probability, expected close date and owner.
  • search_opportunities: Search Capsule opportunities by name, party details or other text.
  • list_projects: List Capsule projects (the API calls them kases) with status, stage, party, owner and dates.
  • search_projects: Search Capsule projects by name, party details or other text.
  • list_tasks: List Capsule tasks with description, due date, status, category, related party and owner. Open tasks only unless status says otherwise.
  • list_pipelines: List Capsule sales pipelines with id, name and description.
  • list_pipeline_milestones: List the milestones (stages) of one Capsule pipeline with probability and whether the stage is complete.

BYOK key

You bring your own Capsule CRM Capsule personal access token (https://developer.capsulecrm.com/v2/overview/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.capsulecrm.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
