What CardTrader (BYOK) is for

CardTrader (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own CardTrader data through the CardTrader API with a key you supply (CardTrader API token). Read-only: 11 tools (get_app_info, list_games, list_categories, list_expansions, list_blueprints, list_marketplace_products, list_wishlists, get_wishlist, list_my_expansions, list_my_products, list_my_orders). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cardtrader.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CardTrader. CardTrader and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which CardTrader account is my API token connected to?"
  • "Which games does CardTrader cover?"
  • "What categories of items exist for Magic on CardTrader?"
  • "Which expansions does CardTrader have, and what is the id of Guilds of Ravnica?"
  • "Which cards are in CardTrader expansion 74?"
  • "What is the cheapest English foil listing of blueprint 10050 on CardTrader?"

What it does

  • get_app_info: Show which CardTrader app and user the token belongs to (app id, app name, user id).
  • list_games: List the games CardTrader sells items for (Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and others) with ids and names.
  • list_categories: List item categories (single cards, booster boxes, dice and more), optionally for one game, with the properties that describe items.
  • list_expansions: List every expansion (set) across all games with its id, game id, short code and name.
  • list_blueprints: List the blueprints (individual printings of cards or products) of one expansion with name, version, category and external Scryfall, Cardmarket and TCGplayer ids.
  • list_marketplace_products: Get the cheapest marketplace listings (up to 25 per blueprint) for an expansion or a single blueprint, filterable by foil and language. Give expansion_id or blueprint_id; the answer is keyed by blueprint id. Limited to 1 call per second.
  • list_wishlists: List your CardTrader wishlists (name, game, whether public), optionally for one game.
  • get_wishlist: Get one of your wishlists with its items (card name, set code, quantity, language, condition, foil).
  • list_my_expansions: List the expansions in which you currently have products for sale.
  • list_my_products: List the products you have for sale (price, quantity, properties), optionally for one expansion or blueprint. Large inventories can take a long time.
  • list_my_orders: List your CardTrader orders as seller or buyer with state, size, payment and shipping dates and totals, filterable by date, id and state.

BYOK key

You bring your own CardTrader CardTrader API token (https://www.cardtrader.com/full_api_app). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cardtrader.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the CardTrader API (api.cardtrader.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.cardtrader.com/docs/api/full/reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CardTrader. CardTrader and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your CardTrader account.
