What Channel Talk (BYOK) is for
Channel Talk (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Channel Talk data through the Channel Talk API with a key you supply (API access key). Read-only: 12 tools (get_channel, list_managers, list_user_chats, get_user_chat, list_user_chat_messages, get_customer, list_chats_of_customer, list_groups, list_group_messages, list_chat_tags, list_campaigns, list_call_logs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.channel.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Channel Talk. Channel Talk and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Channel Talk workspace is this key for?"
- "Who are the managers in my Channel Talk workspace?"
- "Which Channel Talk customer chats are open right now?"
- "Show Channel Talk chat 65f0c0a1d2e3f4a5b6c7d8e9"
- "What was said in Channel Talk chat 65f0c0a1d2e3f4a5b6c7d8e9?"
- "Who is Channel Talk customer 65f0c0a1d2e3f4a5b6c7d8e0?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Channel Talk API access key (https://api-doc.channel.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.channel.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
