What Chargebee Entitlements (BYOK) is for

Chargebee Entitlements (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Chargebee Entitlements data through the Chargebee Entitlements API with a key you supply (Chargebee API key (a read-only key is enough)). Read-only: 6 tools (list_features, get_feature, list_entitlements, list_item_entitlements, list_feature_item_entitlements, list_meters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.chargebee.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which features have I defined in Chargebee?"
  • "What kind of feature is Chargebee feature seats?"
  • "Which plans include the seats feature?"
  • "Which features does the item pro-plan include?"
  • "Which items grant the seats feature?"
  • "Which usage meters are set up in Chargebee?"

What it does

  • list_features: List Chargebee features (capabilities attached to plans) with type, unit, whether metered, and status. Timestamps are Unix seconds.
  • get_feature: Get one Chargebee feature by id: name, type, unit, metered flag and status.
  • list_entitlements: List the entitlements of plans or add-ons (what feature value each grants), filtered by feature or entity.
  • list_item_entitlements: List the feature values granted by one Chargebee item (plan, addon or charge).
  • list_feature_item_entitlements: List the items (plans, add-ons, charges) that grant one Chargebee feature, with the value each grants.
  • list_meters: List Chargebee meters used for usage-based billing, with type, status and description. Timestamps are Unix seconds.

BYOK key

You bring your own Chargebee Entitlements Chargebee API key (a read-only key is enough) (https://apidocs.chargebee.com/docs/api/auth). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.chargebee.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
