What Cin7 Core (BYOK) is for

Cin7 Core (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cin7 Core data through the Cin7 Core API with a key you supply (API application key). Read-only: 11 tools (get_account, list_products, list_stock_availability, list_sales, list_purchases, list_locations, list_stock_transfers, list_stock_adjustments, list_finished_goods, list_categories, list_brands). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to inventory.dearsystems.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Cin7 Core company and currency is this key connected to?"
  • "Which Cin7 Core products have SKU starting with ABC?"
  • "How much of SKU WIDGET-1 is available in each warehouse?"
  • "Which Cin7 Core sales were updated this week and are still unpaid?"
  • "Which purchase orders are waiting to be received in Cin7 Core?"
  • "What warehouse locations exist in Cin7 Core?"

What it does

  • get_account: Show the Cin7 Core company the key belongs to: company name, currency, time zone, default units and lock date.
  • list_products: List products with SKU, name, category, brand, type, default location, first price tier, average cost and modification time. Active products only unless asked. Limited to 60 calls a minute by the provider.
  • list_stock_availability: List stock by product and location with on hand, allocated, available, on order and in transit quantities.
  • list_sales: List sales (quotes and orders) with number, customer, status, invoice and payment amounts, pick, ship and fulfilment status.
  • list_purchases: List purchase orders with number, supplier, status, invoice and payment amounts, due date and receiving status.
  • list_locations: List stock locations (warehouses and bins) with name, default and deprecated flags, parent and country.
  • list_stock_transfers: List stock transfers between locations with number, status, from and to location and dates.
  • list_stock_adjustments: List stock adjustments with number, status (DRAFT, COMPLETED, VOIDED), date, account and comment.
  • list_finished_goods: List finished goods (assemblies) with number, product, quantity, location, date, status and unit cost.
  • list_categories: List product categories (id and name).
  • list_brands: List product brands (id and name).

BYOK key

You bring your own Cin7 Core API application key (https://inventory.dearsystems.com/ExternalAPI). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to inventory.dearsystems.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
