What ClickTime (BYOK) is for

ClickTime (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ClickTime data through the ClickTime API with a key you supply (ClickTime API token (My Preferences, Authentication Token tab)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_company, list_clients, get_client, list_jobs, get_job, list_tasks, list_users, get_user, list_time_entries, list_divisions). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.clicktime.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ClickTime. ClickTime and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which ClickTime company is my token connected to?"
  • "Which clients do we have in ClickTime?"
  • "Show ClickTime client 4Abc"
  • "Which ClickTime jobs are active for client 4Abc?"
  • "Show ClickTime job 4Job"
  • "Which tasks can people log time against in ClickTime?"

What it does

  • get_company: Show the ClickTime company the token belongs to: name, active flag, currency and the terms it uses for clients, jobs and tasks.
  • list_clients: List ClickTime clients with name, short name, client number, active flag and notes. Filter by active flag or name; paged with limit and offset.
  • get_client: Get one ClickTime client by id with name, short name, client number, active flag and notes.
  • list_jobs: List ClickTime jobs (projects) with job number, client, billable flag, dates, lifetime budget and project manager. Filter by active flag, client or manager; paged.
  • get_job: Get one ClickTime job by id with job number, client, billable flag, dates, lifetime budget and project manager.
  • list_tasks: List ClickTime tasks with name, task code, active flag, billable flag and notes. Filter by active flag or name; paged.
  • list_users: List ClickTime users with name, email, role, security level, start and end dates, division and employment type. Filter by active flag, division or email; paged.
  • get_user: Get one ClickTime user by id with name, email, role, security level, dates, division and employment type.
  • list_time_entries: List ClickTime time entries with date, hours, comment, billable flag, client, job, task and user. Filter by date range, job, task or user; at most 100 per page.
  • list_divisions: List ClickTime divisions with name, active flag, user count and notes. Filter by active flag; paged.

BYOK key

You bring your own ClickTime ClickTime API token (My Preferences, Authentication Token tab) (https://developer.clicktime.com/docs/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.clicktime.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the ClickTime API (api.clicktime.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.clicktime.com/docs/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ClickTime. ClickTime and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your ClickTime account.
