What Close (BYOK) is for
Close (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Close data through the Close API with a key you supply (Close API key). Read-only: 9 tools (get_me, list_users, list_leads, get_lead, list_contacts, list_opportunities, list_pipelines, list_lead_statuses, list_activities). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.close.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Close. Close and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Close user and organization is my API key for?"
- "Who are the users in my Close organization?"
- "Show my Close leads"
- "Show Close lead lead_abc123"
- "List the contacts of Close lead lead_abc123"
- "Which Close opportunities are active?"
What it does
get_me: Show the Close user the key belongs to: name, email and the organizations the user is a member of.list_users: List the users of your Close organization with name and email.list_leads: List Close leads (companies) with status, primary contact details, source and dates. Supports paging only.get_lead: Get one Close lead by its id (looks like lead_...), with its contacts, opportunities and status.list_contacts: List Close contacts with name, title, emails and phones, optionally for one lead.list_opportunities: List Close opportunities with value, status, pipeline, owner, confidence and dates. Filter by lead, status type or label.list_pipelines: List Close opportunity pipelines with their statuses (active, won and lost stages).list_lead_statuses: List the lead statuses defined in your Close organization.list_activities: List recent Close activities (calls, emails, notes, meetings, status changes) filtered by lead, user, type or date. Message bodies are not selected.
BYOK key
You bring your own Close Close API key (https://developer.close.com/api/overview/api-key-authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.close.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Close. Close and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Close account.
