What CloudConvert (BYOK) is for

CloudConvert (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own CloudConvert data through the CloudConvert API with a key you supply (CloudConvert API key (scopes user.read, task.read, webhook.read)). Read-only: 6 tools (get_user, list_jobs, get_job, list_tasks, get_task, list_webhooks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudconvert.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many CloudConvert conversion credits do I have left?"
  • "What are my latest CloudConvert jobs and did any fail?"
  • "Show details of this CloudConvert job"
  • "Which CloudConvert tasks failed recently?"
  • "Show details of this CloudConvert task"
  • "Which CloudConvert webhooks are set up and are any failing?"

What it does

  • get_user: Show the CloudConvert account of the key: username, remaining conversion credits and creation time (needs scope user.read).
  • list_jobs: List your CloudConvert jobs, newest first, optionally filtered by status or tag (needs scope task.read).
  • get_job: Get one CloudConvert job with its status and its tasks (operation, status, credits used, result file names and URLs).
  • list_tasks: List your CloudConvert tasks (convert, import, export) with operation, status, error message and credits used (needs scope task.read).
  • get_task: Get one CloudConvert task with operation, status, error message, credits used and result file names and URLs.
  • list_webhooks: List the webhooks configured on the CloudConvert account with URL, events, disabled and failing flags (needs scope webhook.read).

BYOK key

You bring your own CloudConvert CloudConvert API key (scopes user.read, task.read, webhook.read) (https://cloudconvert.com/dashboard/api/v2/keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudconvert.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
