What Cloudflare Email Routing (BYOK) is for
Cloudflare Email Routing (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare Email Routing data through the Cloudflare Email Routing API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Email Routing read permission). Read-only: 8 tools (get_settings, get_dns_records, list_zone_rules, get_rule, get_catch_all_rule, list_account_rules, list_destination_addresses, get_destination_address). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudflare Email Routing. Cloudflare Email Routing and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Is Cloudflare Email Routing enabled for my domain?"
- "Which DNS records does Email Routing require for my domain?"
- "Which addresses does my domain forward and where to?"
- "Where does rule a7e6fb77 send mail?"
- "What happens to mail sent to unknown addresses on my domain?"
- "Which Email Routing rules exist across all my domains?"
What it does
get_settings: Get the Email Routing settings of a zone: enabled flag, status (ready, misconfigured and so on), subaddress support and dates.get_dns_records: List the DNS records (MX, SPF and others) that Email Routing needs for a zone or a subdomain of it.list_zone_rules: List the routing rules of a zone with name, priority, enabled flag, matchers (address patterns) and actions (forward, drop, worker).get_rule: Get one Email Routing rule with matchers and actions.get_catch_all_rule: Get the catch-all rule of a zone: what happens to mail sent to addresses without a specific rule.list_account_rules: List Email Routing rules across the account with their zone names, matchers and actions.list_destination_addresses: List the destination addresses that Email Routing can forward to, with verification time.get_destination_address: Get one destination address with its verification time.
BYOK key
You bring your own Cloudflare Email Routing Cloudflare API token with Email Routing read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
