What Cloudflare Health Checks (BYOK) is for

Cloudflare Health Checks (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare Health Checks data through the Cloudflare Health Checks API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Health Checks read permission). Read-only: 5 tools (list_health_checks, get_health_check, get_health_check_preview, list_smart_shield_health_checks, get_smart_shield_health_check). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com. What it does

  • list_health_checks: List the Health Checks of a zone with target address, type, current status, failure reason, interval, probe regions and HTTP settings.
  • get_health_check: Get one Health Check: address, type, status, failure reason, interval, retries, timeout and probe regions.
  • get_health_check_preview: Get a Health Check preview by id (the configuration as it would run, with the same fields as a health check).
  • list_smart_shield_health_checks: List the Smart Shield health checks of a zone with target, status, failure reason and probe settings.
  • get_smart_shield_health_check: Get one Smart Shield health check with status, failure reason and probe settings.

BYOK key

You bring your own Cloudflare Health Checks Cloudflare API token with Health Checks read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
