What Cloudflare IP Addressing (BYOK) is for

Cloudflare IP Addressing (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare IP Addressing data through the Cloudflare IP Addressing API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Addressing read permission). Read-only: 11 tools (list_prefixes, get_prefix, list_bgp_prefixes, get_advertisement_status, list_service_bindings, list_prefix_delegations, list_address_maps, list_bindable_services, list_loa_documents, list_regional_hostname_regions, list_regional_hostnames). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com. What it does

  • list_prefixes: List the account's BYOIP prefixes with CIDR, ASN, advertisement state, approval and IRR, RPKI and ownership validation states. Ownership validation tokens are not returned.
  • get_prefix: Get one BYOIP prefix with CIDR, ASN, advertisement state and validation states. Ownership validation tokens are not returned.
  • list_bgp_prefixes: List the BGP prefixes (sub-ranges) of an IP prefix with ASN prepend count, on-demand and BGP signaling state.
  • get_advertisement_status: Show whether a prefix is currently advertised by Cloudflare and when that last changed.
  • list_service_bindings: List the Cloudflare services (such as Magic Transit or Spectrum) a prefix is bound to, with CIDR and provisioning state.
  • list_prefix_delegations: List the accounts a prefix is delegated to, with the delegated CIDR and dates.
  • list_address_maps: List address maps (static IPs assigned to zones) with enabled flag, default SNI and description.
  • list_bindable_services: List the Cloudflare services a prefix can be bound to (id and name).
  • list_loa_documents: List Letter of Authorization documents with file name, size, verification state and dates. Document contents are not returned.
  • list_regional_hostname_regions: List the regions available for Regional Hostnames (key and label).
  • list_regional_hostnames: List a zone's Regional Hostnames with region key, routing mode and creation time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Cloudflare IP Addressing Cloudflare API token with Addressing read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
