What Cloudflare Load Balancing (BYOK) is for
Cloudflare Load Balancing (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare Load Balancing data through the Cloudflare Load Balancing API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Load Balancers read permission). Read-only: 9 tools (list_load_balancers, get_load_balancer, list_pools, get_pool, get_pool_health, list_pool_references, list_monitors, get_monitor, list_monitor_groups). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudflare Load Balancing. Cloudflare Load Balancing and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which load balancers do I have and how do they steer traffic?"
- "Show the settings of load balancer www.example.com."
- "Which origin pools are enabled?"
- "Which origins are in pool eu-pool?"
- "Is pool eu-pool healthy right now?"
- "Which load balancers use pool eu-pool?"
What it does
list_load_balancers: List account-level load balancers with hostname, steering policy, TTL, session affinity, default and fallback pools.get_load_balancer: Get one load balancer: name, steering policy, TTL, session affinity, pools and whether it is proxied.list_pools: List origin pools with name, enabled flag, minimum origins, monitor and checking regions. Origin addresses are returned in get_pool.get_pool: Get one origin pool including its origins (name, address, weight, enabled flag).get_pool_health: Get the current health of a pool per Cloudflare data center: healthy flag and per-origin results.list_pool_references: List the load balancers and other resources that use a pool.list_monitors: List health monitors with check type, method, path, port, interval, timeout, retries and expected status codes.get_monitor: Get one health monitor with its type, probe path, expected codes and thresholds.list_monitor_groups: List monitor groups, which combine several monitors into one health decision, with their member monitors and flags.
BYOK key
You bring your own Cloudflare Load Balancing Cloudflare API token with Load Balancers read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
