What Cloudflare Registrar (BYOK) is for

Cloudflare Registrar (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare Registrar data through the Cloudflare Registrar API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Registrar Domains read permission). Read-only: 6 tools (list_registrations, get_registration, get_registration_status, get_update_status, get_transfer_in_status, list_domains_legacy). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com.   • "Which of my domains expire soonest at Cloudflare Registrar?"
  • "When does example.com expire and does it auto-renew?"
  • "Has the registration of example.com completed?"
  • "Did the last settings change on example.com complete?"
  • "What is the transfer-in status of example.com?"
  • "Which domains are locked at Cloudflare Registrar?"

What it does

  • list_registrations: List domains registered through Cloudflare Registrar with status, auto-renew flag, lock, privacy mode and expiry date, in pages via cursor. Contact details are left out.
  • get_registration: Get one registered domain: status, auto-renew, lock, privacy mode, creation and expiry dates. Contact details are left out.
  • get_registration_status: Get the status of the latest registration workflow for a domain: state (pending, in progress, action required, succeeded, failed), completion flag, timestamps and any error.
  • get_update_status: Get the status of the latest settings update workflow for a domain: state (pending, in progress, action required, succeeded, failed), completion flag, timestamps and any error.
  • get_transfer_in_status: Get the status of the latest transfer-in workflow for a domain: state (pending, in progress, action required, succeeded, failed), completion flag, timestamps and any error.
  • list_domains_legacy: List domains through the older Registrar endpoint: id, registrar, creation and expiry dates, lock, registry statuses and TLD support. Registrant contact details are left out.

BYOK key

You bring your own Cloudflare Registrar Cloudflare API token with Registrar Domains read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
