What Cloudflare Waiting Room (BYOK) is for

Cloudflare Waiting Room (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudflare Waiting Room data through the Cloudflare Waiting Room API with a key you supply (Cloudflare API token with Waiting Rooms read permission). Read-only: 8 tools (list_waiting_rooms, get_waiting_room, get_waiting_room_status, list_events, get_event, list_rules, get_zone_settings, list_account_waiting_rooms). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudflare.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudflare Waiting Room. Cloudflare Waiting Room and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Waiting Rooms do I have and which are suspended?"
  • "How is Waiting Room checkout configured?"
  • "Is my Waiting Room queueing visitors right now?"
  • "When is my next Waiting Room event?"
  • "When does Waiting Room event 25756b2d start?"
  • "Which requests bypass my Waiting Room?"

What it does

  • list_waiting_rooms: List the Waiting Rooms of a zone with host, path, queueing method, user limits, session duration and suspended flag. Custom page HTML is not included.
  • get_waiting_room: Get one Waiting Room: host, path, queueing method, users per minute, active users limit, session settings and Turnstile mode.
  • get_waiting_room_status: Get the live status of a Waiting Room: queueing state, estimated queued users, estimated active users and longest estimated wait in minutes.
  • list_events: List the scheduled events of a Waiting Room with start, end and pre-queue times and user limits.
  • get_event: Get one Waiting Room event: schedule, user limits, queueing method and suspended flag.
  • list_rules: List the bypass rules of a Waiting Room (action, expression, enabled).
  • get_zone_settings: Get the zone-level Waiting Room settings (search engine crawler bypass).
  • list_account_waiting_rooms: List the Waiting Rooms across all zones of an account.

BYOK key

You bring your own Cloudflare Waiting Room Cloudflare API token with Waiting Rooms read permission (https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudflare.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Cloudflare Waiting Room API (api.cloudflare.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/resources/waiting_rooms/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not
