What Cloudinary (BYOK) is for
Cloudinary (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Cloudinary data through the Cloudinary API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 7 tools (list_resources, search_resources, list_resources_by_asset_folder, get_resource, list_tags, list_root_folders, get_usage). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.cloudinary.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudinary. Cloudinary and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What images are in my Cloudinary account?"
- "Find Cloudinary images tagged 'hero' that are larger than 1 MB"
- "What assets are in my Cloudinary 'products' folder?"
- "Show details of a Cloudinary asset"
- "Which tags do I use on my Cloudinary images?"
- "What folders do I have in Cloudinary?"
What it does
list_resources: List assets of one type (image, video or raw) in the Cloudinary account, newest first, with size, dimensions, folder and URL. Up to 500 per call; page with next_cursor.search_resources: Search Cloudinary assets with a Lucene-like expression, for example 'tags=hero AND resource_type=image'. Returns total count and up to 500 assets per call.list_resources_by_asset_folder: List assets stored directly in one Cloudinary asset folder, regardless of type, with size, dimensions and URL.get_resource: Get one Cloudinary asset by its asset id: format, size, dimensions, folder, URL, tags, contextual and structured metadata and derived assets.list_tags: List the tags used by assets of one type in Cloudinary, optionally those starting with a prefix. Up to 500 per call.list_root_folders: List the root folders of the Cloudinary media library with name, path and id. Up to 500 per call.get_usage: Get the Cloudinary account usage report: plan, storage, bandwidth, transformations, requests and number of assets, for today or a date within the last 3 months.
BYOK key
You bring your own Cloudinary API key (https://console.cloudinary.com/app/settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.cloudinary.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Notices
This connector uses Cloudinary's default API endpoint (api.cloudinary.com). Accounts that live on the EU or Asia-Pacific data center endpoints are not supported. The Admin API is rate limited by Cloudinary (500 requests per hour on the free plan).

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudinary. Cloudinary and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
