What CompanyCam (BYOK) is for

CompanyCam (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own CompanyCam data through the CompanyCam API with a key you supply (CompanyCam access token). Read-only: 12 tools (get_company, list_projects, get_project, list_project_photos, list_photos, list_project_comments, list_project_labels, list_project_checklists, list_checklists, list_tags, list_users, list_checklist_templates). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.companycam.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CompanyCam. CompanyCam and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which CompanyCam company is my token connected to?"
  • "Which CompanyCam projects were modified this week?"
  • "Show the details of CompanyCam project 88421337"
  • "What photos were taken at CompanyCam project 88421337?"
  • "What are the latest photos uploaded to CompanyCam?"
  • "What comments are on CompanyCam project 88421337?"

What it does

  • get_company: Show the company the token belongs to: name, status and address.
  • list_projects: List jobsite projects with name, address, status, archived flag, primary contact name and dates (timestamps are Unix seconds).
  • get_project: Get one project by id with address, coordinates, notepad text, primary contact name and links.
  • list_project_photos: List photos taken at one project with who captured them, description, capture time and image page link.
  • list_photos: List recent photos across all projects with project, photographer, description and capture time.
  • list_project_comments: List comments left on one project with author, text and time.
  • list_project_labels: List the labels attached to one project.
  • list_project_checklists: List the checklists on one project with name, completion time and creation time.
  • list_checklists: List checklists across all projects, optionally only completed or only open ones.
  • list_tags: List the photo tags defined for the company.
  • list_users: List the company's users with name, work email and status.
  • list_checklist_templates: List the checklist templates available to start new project checklists.

BYOK key

You bring your own CompanyCam CompanyCam access token (https://app.companycam.com/access_tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.companycam.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the CompanyCam API (api.companycam.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://companycam.readme.io/docs/getting-started. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CompanyCam. CompanyCam and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your CompanyCam account.
