What ConfigCat (BYOK) is for
ConfigCat (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ConfigCat data through the ConfigCat API with a key you supply (Public API basic auth username). Read-only: 10 tools (get_me, list_organizations, list_products, list_configs, list_environments, list_flags, get_flag_value, list_segments, list_tags, list_audit_logs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.configcat.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ConfigCat. ConfigCat and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which ConfigCat account am I connected as?"
- "Which ConfigCat organizations do I belong to?"
- "What ConfigCat products do I have?"
- "Which configs are in my ConfigCat product?"
- "Which environments does my ConfigCat product have?"
- "What feature flags are in my ConfigCat config?"
What it does
get_me: Show the ConfigCat user the credentials belong to: id, email and full name.list_organizations: List the ConfigCat organizations the user belongs to with their ids.list_products: List the ConfigCat products (projects) the user can access with organization, description and whether changes need a reason or approval.list_configs: List the configs (flag containers) of a product with id, name, description and evaluation version.list_environments: List the environments of a product (for example Production, Test) with id, name and approval settings.list_flags: List the feature flags and settings of a config with key, name, type, hint and creation time (tags are not returned).get_flag_value: Get the default value of one flag in one environment (boolean, text, whole or decimal number). Targeting rules are not returned.list_segments: List the user segments of a product with description, creator, last update and how many flags use each.list_tags: List the tags of a product with id, name and color.list_audit_logs: List audit log entries of a product, newest first, with who did what and when. Optional date range; up to 100 per page.
BYOK key
You bring your own ConfigCat Public API basic auth username (https://app.configcat.com/my-account/public-api-credentials). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.configcat.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
