What Contentful (BYOK) is for
Contentful (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Contentful data through the Contentful API with a key you supply (Content Delivery API access token). Read-only: 9 tools (get_space, list_content_types, get_content_type, list_locales, list_entries, get_entry, list_assets, get_asset, list_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to cdn.contentful.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Contentful. Contentful and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What is the name and locales of my Contentful space?"
- "What content types does my Contentful space have?"
- "What fields does the Contentful content type product have?"
- "Which locales are enabled in my Contentful space?"
- "What published product entries do I have in Contentful?"
- "Show Contentful entry 5KsDBWseXY6QegucYAoacS"
What it does

Select, order and field filters need content_type. Max 1000 per call.get_entry: Get one published entry by id with its fields, content type and timestamps.list_assets: List published assets (images, files) with title, description, file name, content type, size and URL.get_asset: Get one published asset by id: title, description and file details with URL.list_tags: List the tags defined in an environment with name, id and visibility.
BYOK key
You bring your own Contentful Content Delivery API access token (https://www.contentful.com/developers/docs/references/authentication/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to cdn.contentful.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
