What Contentstack (BYOK) is for

Contentstack (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Contentstack data through the Contentstack API with a key you supply (stack API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_content_types, get_content_type, list_entries, get_entry, list_assets, get_asset, list_global_fields, list_taxonomies, list_taxonomy_terms). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to cdn.contentstack.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Contentstack. Contentstack and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What content types does my Contentstack stack have?"
  • "Which fields does the blog_post content type have in Contentstack?"
  • "Which published blog posts do I have in Contentstack?"
  • "Show the Contentstack entry blt1234567890abcdef of blog_post"
  • "Which images are published in my Contentstack stack?"
  • "Show Contentstack asset bltabcdef1234567890"

What it does

  • list_content_types: List the content types (schemas) of the stack with title, UID, description and dates. Returns at most 100 per request.
  • get_content_type: Get one content type including its field schema.
  • list_entries: List published entries of one content type; entry fields beyond the common ones are not listed (use get_entry). Supports a JSON query and sorting.
  • get_entry: Get one published entry with all its fields.
  • list_assets: List published assets (files and images) with title, file name, type, size and URL.
  • get_asset: Get one published asset by UID.
  • list_global_fields: List the reusable global fields of the stack with title, UID and dates.
  • list_taxonomies: List published taxonomies with name, UID and number of terms.
  • list_taxonomy_terms: List published terms of one taxonomy with name, UID, depth and child count.

BYOK key

You bring your own Contentstack stack API key (https://www.contentstack.com/docs/developers/apis/content-delivery-api#how-to-get-api-key-and-delivery-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to cdn.contentstack.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Contentstack API (cdn.contentstack.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.contentstack.com/docs/developers/apis/content-delivery-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Contentstack. Contentstack and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Contentstack account.
