What Crowdin (BYOK) is for

Crowdin (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Crowdin data through the Crowdin API with a key you supply (Crowdin personal access token (crowdin.com accounts, not Crowdin Enterprise)). Read-only: 12 tools (list_projects, get_project, get_project_progress, get_language_progress, list_files, get_file, list_branches, list_strings, list_tasks, list_translation_builds, list_supported_languages, list_groups). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.crowdin.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Crowdin. Crowdin and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Crowdin localization projects do I have?"
  • "Show details of Crowdin project 12345"
  • "How complete is each language of Crowdin project 12345?"
  • "How far along is the Ukrainian translation of each file in Crowdin project 12345?"
  • "Which source files does Crowdin project 12345 contain?"
  • "Show Crowdin file 55 in project 12345"

What it does

  • list_projects: List Crowdin projects you can access with languages, visibility, last activity and project URL; filter by group, type or manager access.
  • get_project: Get one project's languages, visibility, activity dates and URLs.
  • get_project_progress: Get translation and approval progress of every target language of a project, in words and phrases.
  • get_language_progress: Get the translation and approval progress of one target language, broken down per file.
  • list_files: List the source files of a project with type, path, status, revision and priority; filter by branch or directory.
  • get_file: Get one source file's type, path, status, revision and priority.
  • list_branches: List the version branches of a project with name, title, export pattern and protection flag.
  • list_strings: List a project's source strings (text, identifier, context, max length, file) for one file or the whole project.
  • list_tasks: List a project's translation and proofreading tasks with status, languages, progress and deadline; filter by status.
  • list_translation_builds: List a project's translation export builds with status, progress and finish time.
  • list_supported_languages: List the languages Crowdin supports with ids, names, locale codes and text direction.
  • list_groups: List project groups (folders of projects) with name, parent, project and subgroup counts.

BYOK key

You bring your own Crowdin Crowdin personal access token (crowdin.com accounts, not Crowdin Enterprise) (https://crowdin.com/settings#api-key). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.crowdin.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Crowdin API (api.crowdin.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.crowdin.com/api/v2/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Crowdin. Crowdin and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Crowdin account.
