What Customer.io Setup (BYOK) is for
Customer.io Setup (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Customer.io Setup data through the Customer.io Setup API with a key you supply (App API key (US region)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_transactional_messages, get_transactional_metrics, list_snippets, list_subscription_topics, list_subscription_channels, list_object_types, list_collections, list_reporting_webhooks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.customer.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Customer.io Setup. Customer.io Setup and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which transactional messages are set up in Customer.io?"
- "How many deliveries and bounces did transactional message 3 have in Customer.io?"
- "Which snippets are defined in Customer.io?"
- "Which subscription topics exist in Customer.io?"
- "Which messaging channels are configured in Customer.io?"
- "Which object types exist in Customer.io?"
What it does
list_transactional_messages: List transactional message templates with id, name, description, tracking flags and dates. Message bodies are not returned.get_transactional_metrics: Get delivery counts over time for one transactional message: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, failed and unsubscribed series per period.list_snippets: List reusable snippet names with last update time. Snippet values are not picked.list_subscription_topics: List subscription topics (preference center categories) with id, identifier, name, description and default subscription.list_subscription_channels: List subscription channels with id, name, type (email, twilio, push, slack and more), description and default subscription.list_object_types: List object types (accounts, carts and other custom objects) with id, name, slug and enabled flag.list_collections: List data collections with name, row count, size in bytes and update time. Collection contents are not returned.list_reporting_webhooks: List reporting webhook configurations with name, type, subscribed events and disabled flag. Endpoint URLs are not returned.
BYOK key
You bring your own Customer.io Setup App API key (US region) (https://docs.customer.io/integrations/api/app/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.customer.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
