What Daily Telephony (BYOK) is for

Daily Telephony (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Daily Telephony data through the Daily Telephony API with a key you supply (Daily API key). Read-only: 5 tools (list_purchased_phone_numbers, list_dialin_configs, list_sip_trunks, list_sip_clients, list_webhooks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.daily.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Daily Telephony. Daily Telephony and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which phone numbers do I own on Daily?"
  • "How are my Daily dial-in phone numbers configured?"
  • "Which SIP trunks are set up on my Daily domain?"
  • "Which SIP clients are registered on my Daily domain?"
  • "Are any of my Daily webhooks failing?"

What it does

  • list_purchased_phone_numbers: List the phone numbers purchased for the Daily domain with name, number, verification status and purchase date, optionally filtered by name or number.
  • list_dialin_configs: List pinless and PIN dial-in configurations with type, phone number, name prefix and room-creation endpoint (HMAC secrets are not returned).
  • list_sip_trunks: List inbound SIP trunks of the domain with name, description, SIP URI and enabled flag.
  • list_sip_clients: List registered plain SIP clients (softphones) with username, domain, SIP URI and expiry; passwords are never returned.
  • list_webhooks: List webhook subscriptions with id, URL, subscribed event types, state, failure count and last push time (secrets are not returned).

BYOK key

You bring your own Daily Telephony Daily API key (https://dashboard.daily.co/developers). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.daily.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Read-only: never buys numbers, places calls or changes configuration. Webhook secrets, dial-in HMAC secrets and SIP passwords are not returned.

Data sources

Live from the Daily Telephony API (api.daily.co) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.daily.co/reference/rest-api/phone-numbers/list-purchased. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Daily Telephony. Daily Telephony and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Daily Telephony account.
