What Databox (BYOK) is for
Databox (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Databox data through the Databox API with a key you supply (Databox API key). Read-only: 12 tools (list_accounts, list_data_sources, list_integrations, list_databoards, get_databoard_metrics, list_datasets, get_dataset, get_dataset_sync_history, get_dataset_schema, list_metrics, get_organization_usage, list_activity_log). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.databox.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Databox. Databox and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which accounts are in my Databox organization?"
- "Which data sources are connected in Databox and are any in error?"
- "Does Databox have an integration for HubSpot?"
- "What databoards do we have in Databox?"
- "Which metrics are on my Marketing databoard in Databox?"
- "Which Databox datasets failed to sync recently?"
What it does
list_accounts: List the accounts of the organization (id, name, whether self-managed and which account manages it).list_data_sources: List data sources (connected tools such as ad platforms or databases) with integration, status, timezone and last activity.list_integrations: List the integrations Databox offers (key, name, whether datasets are supported).list_databoards: List databoards (dashboards) with their tags and the integrations they use.get_databoard_metrics: Show the datablocks of one databoard and the metrics, dimensions, date ranges and filters each one uses.list_datasets: List datasets (tables of ingested data) with status, last sync, verification and ingestion info; optionally for one data source.get_dataset: Get one dataset: status, verification, sync interval in minutes, row and column counts, size and the last sync and ingestion details.get_dataset_sync_history: List the recent sync runs of a dataset with start time, status, type, duration and any error.get_dataset_schema: Show the columns of a dataset (name, data type, order, visibility) and its primary key.list_metrics: List metrics available in Databox with their dimensions, drilldown support and verification flag; optionally for one data source.get_organization_usage: Show plan usage against limits: users, data sources, accounts and AI credits used, limit and reset time.list_activity_log: List the organization's activity log (who did what to which resource and when) with optional filters.
BYOK key
You bring your own Databox Databox API key (https://developers.databox.com/docs/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.databox.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources
- https://developers.databox.com/docs/api/api.databox.com (the API this connector calls, with a BYOK key)
Live from the Databox API (api.databox.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.databox.com/docs/api/api.databox.com. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Databox. Databox and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Databox account.
